Covering an area of nearly 670,000 acres in southern Alaska, Kenai Fjords National Park is the home of one of the largest ice fields in the United States, Harding Icefield.

The area is also known for its array of impressive fjords, massive glaciers, and its amazing wildlife and impressive mountain and coastal scenery.

The park lies just west of the town of Seward, Alaska, a popular seaport for cruise ships throughout the late summer, spring and early fall.

Much of the park is accessible only via boat, airplane, or on foot. For this reason, organized tours and guided trips are a very popular option for Kenai Fjords National Park.

There are many scenic and wildlife viewing sea tours available out of Seward. Train tours and airplane tours are also popular options.

The park is home to a variety of beautiful and amazing terrestrial and marine animals, from black and brown bears, moose, elk, sea otters and seals, whales, and a variety of birds including eagles, and puffins!
