Now Booking with Limited Service for 2025 Season (June 4 – Sept. 14)
Please call for details and special bookings.
A recent rock-slide closed the road in Denali National Park at milepost 42 preventing all automobile travel to and from Kantishna. However special arrangements have been made with flight service providers in the area to still offer a unique and intimate lodging experience at Kantishna Raodhouse Backcountry Resort throughout the 2025 season (June 4 – Sept. 14). The Resort will be operating on a fixed schedule of arrivals and departures with stays beginning on either Tuesday or Saturday. Stays will be limited to either a 3, 4 or 7 night duration. 3 nights (arrive Saturday - depart Tuesday), 4 nights (arrive Tuesday - depart Saturday), 7 nights (arrive/depart either Tuesday or Saturday).
Adjusted rates for the 2025 season are as follows: $1,450 per person per night + tax based on double occupancy. Flights are aboard small, 5-passenger aircrafts that are limited to carrying 1,000 pounds. Recording passenger weights at the time of booking allows us to prepare the flight manifests ahead of time to balance passenger and luggage weights. Due to the limited pounds the aircraft is able to carry, your weight is required to be verified at check in. For the 2025 season, it is important to know that you are strictly limited to 25 pounds of luggage for the round-trip flights. Please pack a soft-sided, duffle style bag with the things you need to bring to the Kantishna Roadhouse. Luggage storage is available at the entrance-area location. The flight time inbound is 55 minutes which includes a scenic fly-by of Denali and the Alaska Range, weather permitting. A direct, 35-minute flight will return you to the park entrance.
