30-Minute Bear Glacier Scenic Flight

This 30-minute flight will take you on a scenic journey over the verdant and rugged coastline of Resurrection Bay as you make your way to Bear Glacier.

Bear Glacier sits above a hidden lagoon that is separated from the ocean bay by a large glacial moraine. Massive icebergs that have calved from Bear Glacier float in the lagoon all summer and are much larger than those you will find in the open bays and fjords.

Your scenic flight will take you past these 200 ft. icebergs giving you an up close look and some amazing photo opportunities.

This lagoon and the icebergs floating in it are also a popular place for seals and otters to hang out as it offers protection from orca and other oceanic predators that patrol the bay.

To close the flight you will take a scenic pass over Harding Ice Field and get a nice view of Exit Glacier.

This trip will give you a true appreciation of just how big and impressive Alaska’s glaciers and their icebergs truly are!

This is a 30-minute flight with multiple daily departures runing May 5 - Sept. 26
Daily Departures:	9:30, 10:45, 1:30, 2:45, 4:15 and by appointment
Tour length:	30 Minutes of Flight Time
Includes all taxes & fees 2 min, 6 max. This tour requires good visibility to fly. If you are in Seward for more than one day, it is recommended that you book your trip on your first day so that if there are issues with the visibility you can reschedule your flight for a later day in your trip.

All cancellations must be made more than 48 hours in advance to recoup your full deposit.

If flights are unable to run due to weather, you will receive a full refund. If you have the time, Seward Helicpter Tours will work to reschedule your tour.

All tours are appropriate for all ages. Infants 24 months and under ride free. A complimentary shuttle system is offered for those without vehicles within Seward. Main pick up/ drop off locations are: Harbor 360, The Gateway, The Breeze Inn, The Windsong Lodge, The Best Western, Harbor Master Oﬃce, and The Train Depot. Other locations within Seward may be possible upon request. There is free parking at the flight oﬃce with spots large enough for RVs. Guests should arrive 20 minutes prior to the departure time for check in. All helicopter tours have a ﬁrm 300lb weight limit per person (including any gear going with guests in the helicopter), guests are weighed at check in, anyone over the weight limit will be unable to ﬂy.
