Incredible ice-carved mountains stretch out in all directions encompassing the miles of ice and every so often a lone peak juts up through the ice to break the dazzling white horizon! The trail you will be taking to the overlook runs along the Exit Glacier and offers some amazing glimpses of thick ice crevasses and moraines along the way!

Other things to look for along the way include wildflower meadows, and unique alpine wildlife including marmots, goats, and black bears!

Your hike includes expertise and insights from your knowledgeable guide and an overall education on Alaskan climate change. You will also receive complimentary hiking poles, a day hiking pack (if needed) transportation from the downtown Seward-based office. This trip also includes lunch and organic snacks & hot drinks to enjoy along the way.

Things you should bring along for your hike include; warm synthetic layers, warm wool socks, hiking boots or sneakers, a day hiking pack if you have one (if not one can be supplied for you for use on the hike), rain gear (can be rented from shop in needed) a refillable water bottle, camera and of course a positive attitude!

There is one hike offered each day:
Full day hike:7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Age requirements:Anyone age 12 and over is welcome
Difficulty level:Very Strenuous
This is a difficult hike of around 8 miles round trip. There is an elevation gain of around 3,300 feet in total. The trail includes roots, stone steps, uneven terrain and possibly crossing snowy sections.

Full amount is due at booking.

Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the trip are allowed minus $10 per person. 15-30 days prior to the trip 20% of total will be charged. 7-15 days prior to the trip 50% of total will be charged. Within 7 days of the trip 100% of total will be charged.
