Denali Raft Adventures offers a choice of river adventures to fit every schedule and level of adventure, from quick two hour floats to full-day adventures, and relaxing scenic trips to adrenaline-pumping whitewater thrills.

Denali Raft Adventures provides complimentary transportation to and from local area lodging and the Alaska Railroad depot to the 'put in spot' where your river trip begins. They also provide all the gear that you will need for a fun and comfortable adventure including Gore-Tex Dry suits, neoprene booties and life jackets. Drysuits come with latex gaskets at the neck, and wrists and latex socks to keep your feet dry. The only body part that should get wet will be your hands and face.

Some items you should consider bringing include 2-pair of wool socks to wear on the river, eye-glass retainers if you are wearing sunglasses or corrective lenses, and a pair of inexpensive waterproof gloves.

Canyon Run
Summary:The Canyon Run is a great option if you are looking for some thrilling whitewater adventure but you only want to spend a couple hours on the river. With this trip you will spend approximately 2 hours on the water and float about 11-miles down river to the town of Healy.

You will get some good thrills in along the way on class II, III and IV rapids including 'Razorback', 'Coffee Grinder' and 'Ice Worm!'

You can choose whether to just sit back, hold on and enjoy the trip in an oar raft, or if you want to get in on the action in a paddle raft, where you and your fellow rafters will help guide the raft downstream by joining in on the paddling. With both options you will have a knowledgeable guide with you in the raft the entire trip.

Wilderness Run
Summary:Are you looking to spend a couple hours on the river that are a little more laid-back ... enjoying Alaska’s scenic beauty without hitting any of the bigger rapids? The Wilderness run is a good option for you.

This trip lasts approximately 3 hours (roughly 2 hours on the water), and lets you enjoy a scenic float down the Nenana River with only a taste of whitewater (mostly smaller I and II class rapids), but still big on scenery!

This is a great option for potential wildlife viewing too! Keep an eye out for moose, caribou and bear!

Choose from an oar raft where you just sit back and enjoy the ride while your guide navigates your raft downstream, or a paddle raft where you and your fellow rafters get in on the action of controlling your raft. With both options you will have a knowledgeable guide with you in the raft the entire trip.

Healy Express
Summary:Combine the Canyon Run whitewater trip and the scenic McKinley Run into a half day adventure including approximately 4 hours on the river with a short break in the middle.

This is a great way to enjoy some thrills of whitewater adventure as well as a relaxing float for enjoying one of the most scenic stretches of the Nenana River.

Choose from an oar raft where you just sit back and enjoy the ride while your guide navigates your raft downstream, or a paddle raft where you and your fellow rafters get in on the action of controlling your raft. With both options you will have a knowledgeable guide with you in the raft the entire trip.

Please note 2024 raft trips with 3 passengers or less maybe cancelled with authorized refunds if clients are unable to reschedule.

Terms & Policies

Booking & Cancellation Policies:

To book a raft tour, payment in full is required at time of booking. To cancel and receive a partial refund you must notify us via e-mail seven days before your trip departure. Cancellations after time of booking will incur a 10% cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued for trips cancelled within seven days of the departure time. All trips depart rain or shine. All Dry-suits have latex gaskets on the neck, wrists and socks. Please inquire if you have a latex allergy.

All rates are for 2024 rafting season. Prices are subject to change without notice. Trips are offered from May 20th to September 10th seasonally.
