Safe from the weather, the wildlife and the insects, you will be free to enjoy the Alaskan backcountry in comfort and style anytime of year.

Knowledgeable guides will take you to some of the best spots in the Healy area, just outside of Denali National Park, where you will have unsurpassed opportunities for enjoying Alaska’s incredible wildlife and scenic vistas and grand adventure! All guests will be outfitted with individual 2-way headsets and your guide will provide fun and insightful commentary all along the way!

Several tour options are available throughout the year, and shuttle service pick-up and drop off is included with your tour booking from many Healy and Denali entrance area hotels. (Note: The free shuttle service is only available to the area around Healy and Denali entrance and extends approximately 10-miles south of Denali entrance to the Denali Cabins area, but does not include areas as far south as the Carlo Creek area.)

2.5 Hour Tour

Leave the roads behind and get into the real Alaskan wilderness on this 2.5 Hour Fat Truck Tour! Explore the areas around Otto Lake and the Dry Creek drainage below Mount Healy, just beyond the border of Denali National Park.

This tour starts out along an old mining trail that leads to an elevated lookout with stunning vistas and panoramas. From there you will traverse to the Dry Creek area and Frozen Palisades and explore among rocky cliffs that seem to defy the laws of gravity. The tour culminates at Otto Lake where you will take a spin on the lake!

Summer time or winter, these amphibious Fat Trucks have the capabilities of driving on top of the water, frozen or not! It is an experience unlike anything you have encountered before!

These Fat Trucks provide guests with a level of adventure and comfort that cannot be experienced through any other tour option. Your experienced guide will take you on an unforgettable tour of Alaska’s incredible backcountry where you will enjoy stunning views, while learning about Alaska’s geology, geography and rich historic past. You will also have opportunities for spotting amazing wildlife during your trip, (though wildlife is unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed).

During your excursion, you will be outfitted with 2-way headsets and your guide will share with you a wealth of knowledge on Alaska, Denali National Park and the surrounding area.
