Enjoy a night at Bear Glacier in a comfortable accommodating 16′ yurt. This glamorous camping adventure is sure to be one of your Alaska highlights and is open to all travelers of ages 16+ and any ability level. Yurts are outfitted with vented propane heaters and a single queen-sized bed.
Bear Glacier sits above a hidden lagoon that is separated from the ocean bay by a large glacial moraine. Massive icebergs that have calved from Bear Glacier float in the lagoon all summer and are much larger than those you will find in the open bays and fjords.
A night spent at Bear Glacier is truly a remarkable experience and sure to leave you with a greater appreciation for the natural splendor of the beauty of Alaska! Relax in a tranquil Alaskan environment and enjoy unparalleled glacier and iceberg viewing.
All stays include appetizers, dinner, breakfast and helicopter transportation.
Guests are asked to pack lightly and bring only what they need for the night due to limited space in the helicopter. There is an outhouse available but no showers.
This trip will give you a true appreciation of just how big and impressive Alaska’s glaciers and their icebergs truly are!
