Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort

Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort is located 12 miles inside Olympic National Park from the north. This is a prime vacation spot, perfect if you want a relaxing vacation where everything is right at your fingertips. Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort was opened on May 15, 1912. It was constructed by timber baron Michael Earles. Earles had credited the healing waters of the hot springs with curing him of a serious illness and built the resort as a way for everyone to be able to partake of the springs healing features. Visitors came from as far as Europe to this elegant resort, giving the locals great pride to have such a sought after resort in the area.

The National Park Service purchased the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort in 1966 and incorporated it into the national park. The resort was completely rebuilt in the 1980s but its hot mineral baths still attract thousands of visitors every year. Because of its stunning location, this resort offers more than the benefits of the hot springs.
