First off, the staff here are incredibly friendly! From the front desk staff to the breakfast room employees, everyone had a smile and were very helpful. The name of the hotel and the lobby give off a National Park lodge while the breakfast and the rooms are decidedly more similar to a mid scale chain motel. The balance comes out somewhere in between. I did a fair bit of research and this is probably one of not the best hotel option for visiting Olympic National Park. Just temper your expectations and you won't be disappointed. The hotel is located a couple of miles out of town just off the highway. It's wild because the front of the hotel isn't very appealing but it's bordered on the back by a beautiful Golf course. There's very nice landscaping and lots of fountains so they've done a very nice job with the property. The lobby is large and every evening (maybe not in the summer?) they have a big crackling fire going. Unfortunately the lodge theme ends with the common areas, our room was fine but not nearly as nice as the lobby. We had a two queen bed room, there was a small fridge and microwave, a coffee machine (decent in room coffee too!) and not much else. There was one very uncomfy chair and a small desk with another chair. The room was quite large and could easily have accommodated some better furniture options. The bathroom wasn't fancy but was a decent size and we did like the extra sink outside the main bathroom. We asked for an upgrade to a patio room and got it, which was appreciated. I wouldn't pay extra for it though, although the patio had a couple of fairly comfy chairs and a new or the golf course, they're open to a communal walkway so not private. The biggest disappointment of the hotel is the free breakfast. Pros are very kind staff and decent coffee plus it's large breakfast room with lots of seating and a view of the golf course. But photos posted by managene on TripAdvisor are out of date (we saw photos showing very tasty food served on real China). This is a pretty typical frew motel breakfast. We stayed there 3 nights and it was always pretty consistent: Oatmeal, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage and the ubiquitous waffle machines. That and some baked goods. None of the above was very good, it wasn't terrible but we'd expected a little more. There is an outdoor pool and hot tub, the pool is opened year round but it's pretty cold (it is heated though). We stayed in February and the rate was very reasonable, I would stay again if it wasn't too expensive. Just be aware that this isn't a super fancy hotel and you won't be disappointed. One last thing, this hotel is pet friendly. We were woken our first morning by a barkkng dog next door and we heard barking dogs from other rooms on other days. Perhaps they have a pet free floor or section, I think I'd ask about that next time.

Beautiful hotel - this stock picture does not do it justice!

My husband and I took the ferry from Coupeville to Port Townsend, and found this gem on our way to Olympic National Park in early October last year. As you enter to lobby you are met with beautiful floor to high ceiling windows of the grounds, and the warmth of a welcoming wood burning fireplace. Kasi and Brianna checked us in at the front desk and gave us a wealth of helpful information about our travel in the Olympic peninsula - tips and advice that were invaluable! They shared their knowledge that made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. The lady in the breakfast room (I did not get her name) was also a gem. She kept the buffet table replenished and in impeccable order, bussed the tables and had a kind greeting for the guests. I would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone traveling in the Olympic peninsula of Washington State.

I was created by a very friendly lady on 2/1/24 I was in town for a short visit with my sister and I wasn’t sure where to stay. Part of me wanted to stay by the water but when I called both locations in question, this one was the friendliest. I decided we would stay there. The hotel was very clean, I liked the customer service, beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was great. Overall a great experience

One of the best hotel stays we had!

Exceeded my expectations for a value priced stay. The hotel has an impressive beautiful , cozy great room off the check in desk area. It’s spacious with high ceilings, massive windows, dark wood look, big comfy leather chairs and couches, soft lighting and best off all, a big stone fireplace with real wood burning. The fireplace was lit every evening and added to the coziness of the room as we sat and enjoyed our drinks by the fire. Easily accessible from this room was the pool and hot tub amenities. Towels provided. Other private seating areas available on our 2nd floor overlooking the great room. Our room was beautiful!! Overlooking the golf course. Very clean, quiet, amazing bed and accessories. Had the best sleeps. We knew a complimentary breakfasts was provided each morning and I was utterly amazed at the set up. The dining room is spacious and lovely and again large windows overlooking the golf course. The breakfast was buffet style and it had everything you would need for .breakfast, hot and cold. I was so impressed!! There’s a restaurant available next door as well as a Jimmy Johns. The hotel provides plenty of free parking and the staff were amazing and helpful. The hotel is not within walking distance of the main part of Port Angeles, but the hotel provided us with a free shuttle into town so that we could go explore and have a few drinks. A shuttle was outside waiting for us at our desired time. It was great! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

Stayed 3 nights for visit to Olympic National Park. Hotel is conveniently located to waterfront, Hurricane Hill and other points of interest in park. The room was spacious, very clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was excellent, and we would highly recommend.
