We stayed one night before heading to Canada for a few days. The room was very comfortable especially the beds. Parking was convenient and close to the front door. We stayed here because it's was very close to the ferry. The staff treated us very well and it was a great stay.

Nice hotel. We've stayed here several times before. Clean rooms, ample free parking, heated pool, and nice views. Enjoyable lobby area with great fireplace. Sadly, though, they have discontinued their hot breakfast. Now just breads, waffle, cereals.

Great spring holiday

Everything was excellent. Beds were comfortable. Staff is very nice and helpful, especially Rae. Breakfast was great, tea and coffee available the whole day. Great choice of food. The gym is available any time. Did not use swimming pool as is was cold outside.

Very Friendly Staff and Comfortable Rooms

First off, the staff here are incredibly friendly! From the front desk staff to the breakfast room employees, everyone had a smile and were very helpful. The name of the hotel and the lobby give off a National Park lodge while the breakfast and the rooms are decidedly more similar to a mid scale chain motel. The balance comes out somewhere in between. I did a fair bit of research and this is probably one of not the best hotel option for visiting Olympic National Park. Just temper your expectations and you won't be disappointed. The hotel is located a couple of miles out of town just off the highway. It's wild because the front of the hotel isn't very appealing but it's bordered on the back by a beautiful Golf course. There's very nice landscaping and lots of fountains so they've done a very nice job with the property. The lobby is large and every evening (maybe not in the summer?) they have a big crackling fire going. Unfortunately the lodge theme ends with the common areas, our room was fine but not nearly as nice as the lobby. We had a two queen bed room, there was a small fridge and microwave, a coffee machine (decent in room coffee too!) and not much else. There was one very uncomfy chair and a small desk with another chair. The room was quite large and could easily have accommodated some better furniture options. The bathroom wasn't fancy but was a decent size and we did like the extra sink outside the main bathroom. We asked for an upgrade to a patio room and got it, which was appreciated. I wouldn't pay extra for it though, although the patio had a couple of fairly comfy chairs and a new or the golf course, they're open to a communal walkway so not private. The biggest disappointment of the hotel is the free breakfast. Pros are very kind staff and decent coffee plus it's large breakfast room with lots of seating and a view of the golf course. But photos posted by managene on TripAdvisor are out of date (we saw photos showing very tasty food served on real China). This is a pretty typical frew motel breakfast. We stayed there 3 nights and it was always pretty consistent: Oatmeal, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage and the ubiquitous waffle machines. That and some baked goods. None of the above was very good, it wasn't terrible but we'd expected a little more. There is an outdoor pool and hot tub, the pool is opened year round but it's pretty cold (it is heated though). We stayed in February and the rate was very reasonable, I would stay again if it wasn't too expensive. Just be aware that this isn't a super fancy hotel and you won't be disappointed. One last thing, this hotel is pet friendly. We were woken our first morning by a barkkng dog next door and we heard barking dogs from other rooms on other days. Perhaps they have a pet free floor or section, I think I'd ask about that next time.

Beautiful hotel - this stock picture does not do it justice!

My husband and I took the ferry from Coupeville to Port Townsend, and found this gem on our way to Olympic National Park in early October last year. As you enter to lobby you are met with beautiful floor to high ceiling windows of the grounds, and the warmth of a welcoming wood burning fireplace. Kasi and Brianna checked us in at the front desk and gave us a wealth of helpful information about our travel in the Olympic peninsula - tips and advice that were invaluable! They shared their knowledge that made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. The lady in the breakfast room (I did not get her name) was also a gem. She kept the buffet table replenished and in impeccable order, bussed the tables and had a kind greeting for the guests. I would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone traveling in the Olympic peninsula of Washington State.
