A beautiful place to relax
We truly enjoyed our stay at a hidden Haven. The owner was very nice and helpful. We even got a Christmas gift from the owners which was a nice surprise. Room is cozy and bed is super comfy. The kitchen has all you need.
Highly recommend it😊

Book it now
Stayed here 6 nights in the Forrest cottage. Absolutely incredible. Grounds are private, healing, and breathtaking. Very close to a beautiful 22mi hiking trail. Close to Port Angeles.
Cabin was clean with no bugs. Kitchen had everything needed. Bathtub and double shower were awesome!! King bed was great. Fireplace was great.
Hosts were kind and mellow. Feeding deer was fun. Trail on site is cool.
10/10 would book again

Thoughtful Comfort and Privacy
We stayed for access to the Olympic National Park during the time of Covid. Check-in was seamless. The facility was clean, comfortable, and reasonably private. After a hiking type day, the tub and shower were welcome. The bed was quite comfortable. The tap water was the best I've had when "on the road".

Rude service and bad stay
Let me state about the fact. The two nights were good. Then the third one I switched to Morning Dove cottage.
The host was rude. On my third night (extension from my two-night stay), I experienced three issues in the house:
1. The bedroom at night was full of small flying bugs. The wall had about 50-100 bugs. It took me a while to clean them up.
2. The hot water was gone half way when I was taking a bath. I wasn’t able to take a shower.
3. Mid night (3am), there was a loud water dripping noise for about an hour.
The next morning I called the host about the issue. I asked whether the host can give me some refund for the issues. The host rudely said no. I said if anything else she can help me to have a better experience. She said no. Adding that she doesn’t think I’m lying (hinting I’m lying). Adding that her room never had an issue. Also adding that if I wasn’t able to afford this, I should find a cheaper place. It makes me feel that I’m the troublemaker.
To the host:
Excuse me. I work for hospitality customer experience industry for years. This is the last thing you should ever do to a customer. The fact your room never had issue is not future proof. You said I could have called you last night. But it was 1am and I just wanted to sleep. You attitude makes me think you don’t know how to handle customer experience. You could have offered me a future stay discount. You didn’t and went the other direction to confront your customer.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. If things go well, it goes well. As a guest, if things do not go well at this place, you will feel really offended.

Great time cut short
We deeply enjoyed the trip. Staying at Forest Romance, my wife and I were quite comfortable. We wandered the grounds visiting the fallow deer, trout and koi pond. The gardens were beautiful. Berries were everywhere. I tasted two thimbleberries. Sour and sweet, it's a delicate fruit that taste like tart candy.
Sadly, our disabled daughter had been stricken by a kidney stone that was extremely painful. We left at 1 am on our last day. Since she is not vocal and the care provider needed us to be there, we rushed back. I'm writing next to her while she sleeps in her hospital bed.
So much for a couple's retreat. A decade has past since our last couple's sojourn. Hopefully, we can return and enjoy a full restful experience before another decade passes. It will be our only future retreat site. It was that spectacular.
