Great Cottage

We really enjoyed our cottage, Sweet Heart. We had two little ones in tow and it was a great set-up, since we had a sofa bed for our toddler and they even provided a pack-and-play for our infant. Washer/dryer was used every day, and a well-stocked kitchen let us eat breakfast and dinner in the cottage. My older daughter still talks about Chris letting her feed the fish and reindeer. She was so sad the one day he wasn't around!

Beautiful, peaceful, serene, comfortable, spotless. I would go on and on. I hope to go back and stay longer. Absolutely perfect, private hideaway, just minutes from downtown Port Angeles. They even have places to get food to feed the koi and fallow deer and reindeer. plus, landscaped ponds, and fresh flowers everywhere.

I waited too long to make plans for our 1st wedding anniversary and was having trouble finding a place to stay on the Olympic Peninsula. Then I stumbled upon this website in my search, and although it was not out on the coast, it looked interesting, and they had one cottage still available, so I booked it. I'm so glad I did! We stayed in the Forest Romance cottage and it exceeded our expectations. Lovely furnishings, fully equipped, comfortable king bed. The place is off the beaten path in thick woods and it's so peaceful and quiet! The jetted tub for two was perfect after a day of hiking and exploring. The cottage had a lovely gas fireplace, and as it was rainy and cool on our trip, we were able to use it in the evenings, in August. There is also a little shed containing many DVDs, books, and games, all for guest use. Our only regret is that our trip wasn't longer because the cottage was so nice, we wished that we could have just stayed in one or two whole days! Close to Port Angeles where we had a delicious dinner at Bella Italia. The Downrigger was also very good, and the Chestnut Cottage had good breakfasts. Close to the highways and Olympic National Park. I highly recommend this place for couples as a romantic retreat or as a jumping-off spot for exploring the Peninsula. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful cottage and tales of the high sea...

We stayed for 2 nights in May. The cottages all look huge and ours certainly was. We stayed in Whimsical Bear and it was beautiful. Lovely luxurious furnishings, really well appointed in terms of kitchen equipment and we were just sorry we weren’t staying for longer, On arriving we completely misinterpreted the arrival directions (despite having 3 degrees between us) and ended up at the main house where we were greeted by the lovely owner who regaled us with tales from his days as a commercial fisherman in Dutch Harbour. As big fans of The Deadliest Catch, we loved it! They also have a wonderful dog who hides out in the cool of the bushes and an amazing woodland walk. It really is a fabulous place and its such a shame we live so far away as we would definitely try out some of the other cottages if we were able to return.

Great cottage in very nice thickly wooded 20-acre grounds. We enjoyed the deer park and the koi ponds on site as well as the walking trail. Easy access to Port Angeles and Olympic National Park. It's very quiet and a beautiful setting.
