Model T & Model A Rentals

Drive into history with a Model T Ford and relive a slower pace of life of an earlier time. Picture yourself driving a Model T Ford as you wind your way up the back roads to Yosemite National Park. The Road you are driving on seems to have been lifted out of history. You will forge streams that cut across your path. You have chosen a “road less traveled”.

Model T Fords
	1915 Touring Car This was Ford's economy family car. Advertisements read "It would carry a family of five". The cost of the 1915 Touring car was $490, only $50 more than the Runabout
	1922 Touring Car The radiator and trim were now all black. The price was dropped to $355. Electric starters were offered a $65 option (all of our cars after 1919 have electric starters, no need to crank.)
	1926 Touring Car The body of this Touring car resembles a Model A Ford. The gas tank is no longer under the seat but under the cowl. No need to back up a hill when you don't have a full tank of gas. The price of the 1926 Touring car was originally $290.

Model A Fords
Model A's first appeared in 1928 and were a definite improvement over the Model T. Having twice the horse power, four wheel brakes, and a standard three speed transmission.
	1928 Model A Touring Car Called by Ford a Phaeton and originally sold for $395.00 FOB, Detroit. The Phaeton was the family car which carried five people, Mom and Dad with three children - top folds down allowing a full view of the park.
	1929 Model A Roadster With Rumble Seat Originally sold for $385.00 for $20.00 more you could add a rumble seat which allowed you to carry more people. The Roadster we offer comes complete with a rumble seat - this is a great place for the children while seeing the park.

Your Tour Options

The Model-T Tour Company is currently offering two tour options.

The Summer tour will include travel through Yosemite National Park. In the early fall we offer tours through California's Central Coast. The Coast & Castle Tour includes the quaint town of Cambria and the World-renowned Hearst Castle. We are currently working on additional tours throughout California.

We can arrange to pick you up from either Tenaya Lodge or Fish Camp.

The Yosemite Tour

Yosemite Tours run from June through the end of October. The following tours are offered:

Day Rentals if cars are available
Two night/Three day tour with accommodations at The Tin Lizzie Inn.
Three night/Four day tour with accommodations at The Tin Lizzie Inn.
Five night/Six day tour with accommodations at The Tin Lizze Inn, Wawona Hotel and Ahwahnee Hotel

Tour Costs

All tours are flexible and can be customized for individual or couples needs. Lodging and meals can be deleted in the cost, the cost will be adjusted if you prefer to make arrangements on your own.

One Day Rental - We are offering a One-Day rental at the cost of $400.00 a day for a Model T or A Roadster.

There is also a One-Day rental at the cost of $450.00 for four people in one touring car.

Three-Day Tours - start at $2,500.00 - Price is for two adults and includes 2 nights at The Tin Lizze Inn, ALL Meals, Tram thru Big Trees, Steam Train Ride, Massage for Two, entrance fee into Yosemite Valley and your very own Model T or Model A to drive for three days.

Four-Day Tour - starts at $3,300.00 and includes everything in the three-day tour with added lodging and meals at The Wawona Hotel.

Six-Day Tour - starts at $5,500.00 and not only takes in all that is offered in the four-day tour but two nights at The Ahwahnee Hotel and meals. Theater tickets for a live presentation of John Muir and tram ride in Yosemite Valley - The Ultimate Tour!!

Special Group Tours
(Each group tour requires a minimum of four cars rented.)

Coast & Castle Tour - The Coast and Castle Tour includes three nights and four days in the quaint town of Cambria. You are free to travel the beautiful California Coast in your Model T or Model A and visit several coastal towns as well as tour Hearst Castle.

Gold Country Tour - This tour starts in Yosemite and travels thru California gold country on Highway 49, where gold was first discovered in California . It requires a minimum of 5 to 6 nights and is customized for each group.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Credit Card information will be held for guarantee.

All drivers must be at least 21 years of age or older in order to rent cars.
