Willowtail Springs provides private and secluded lakefront cabin lodging located just 10 minutes from the Mesa Verde National Park entrance as well as the galleries, restaurants and shops of Mancos.

Willowtail Springs' centralized location allows you to enjoy all of the fun attractions of Mesa Verde Park, as well as the many other historical sites and attractions of the area such as the Anasazi Heritage Center, and the Ute Mountain Tribal Park. Or take a day to explore the San Juan Scenic Byway and ride on the Durango/Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.

Golfing, whitewater rafting and cross country and alpine skiing are also available nearby.

Accommodations

Bungalow Cabin

Perfect for up to four people with views of the private lake, lush gardens and mountains. Birding book and binoculars available for use in the cabin. There is a queen-sized pillow-top bed with views of the lake in one room and in the sunroom are two twins that can make into one king-sized bed. A private porch has a comfy couch for sunset views as well as views of fruit trees, the herb garden and old growth pinyon and juniper trees. Private bathroom includes an antique clawfoot bathtub with a hand-held shower. A fully furnished kitchen and patio barbecue make it easy to cook at home. There are several awesome locations surrounding the cabin that are great for outdoor dining with beautiful views, including the dining room. The cabin's charm is highlighted by stained glass, refurbished hardwood floors, wood carvings and spectacular views.

Garden Cottage

This private cottage is nestled in a secluded setting surrounded by wildlife and manicured gardens. Views of the La Plata Mountains and the private lake are visible from some viewpoints. The covered deck is the perfect place to lounge around in overstuffed furniture while sipping on coffee and watching the various birds. The sheltered deck also includes a fireplace with a cozy couch for cuddling or ghost stories. The main bedroom has a queen-sized pillowtop bed with views of the garden. The living room features a daybed with a pop-up trundle that can combine to make a king-sized bed or two twins. A single futon can be placed just about anywhere for sleeping or lounging, including on the deck or in front of the fireplace. The private full bathroom has a tub, tall shower and a unique hand-painted floor. The fully furnished kitchen has views of the woods. From any vantage point at the Garden Cottage you will find calming views and the utmost in comfort.

Lake House

The Lakehouse is a bona fide three bedroom log home. Sensational mountain and lake views are around every corner, both inside and out. Six people can be accommodated with ease. The spacious fully furnished kitchen has sunny views of the garden and private lake. Outdoor gas barbecue is available for grilling. Guests can dine in the dining room or on the large deck. The deck is also a great place for wildlife viewing. The bedroom on the first floor has a queen-sized bed with its own entrance and porch. There is a half bathroom as well as the kitchen and dining room on the ground floor. The master bedroom is upstairs with a queen-sized pillowtop bed. Luxurious linens are complimented by vintage quilts and original artwork. The views sweep across the lake, mountains and sky from the giant windows. The upstairs also has a loft bedroom with a double-sized pillowtop bed and lots of comfy pillows. Windows look out over the treetops. A full bathroom with a walk-in shower is just off of the sitting room. A single futon can be put on the deck or on the floor inside for extra comfort or a place to rest. Guests will enjoy the library of poems, philosophy, children's books, games and more that are available to use. The Lakehouse is very accommodating and easy on the eyes. The original artwork, antique furnishings and stained glass windows make this a very special retreat.
