Sundance Bear Lodge

Main Lodge Rooms:

The main lodge has two well appointed bed and breakfast rooms. Having only two rooms provides privacy and a special feeling like you are on an adventure. The great room is available for guest use as well with a lending library with cowboy, Native American and Mesa Verde area subjects covered. Comfy couches and recliners as well as a TV and board games are there for your enjoyment in the Great Room. The lodge rooms can both be reserved together as well.

Pets are not permitted in the Main Lodge.

The Mancos Room:
The Mancos Room has a queen-sized bed and a private bathroom with a bathtub and shower. This room is richly appointed with Navajo weaving, original cowboy art by Howard Terpning and also showcasing a real “teddy” bear from the early 1900's.

The Mesa Verde Room:
The Mesa Verde Room is a spacious corner bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a twin, which provides ample space for three people. It includes private bathroom with a shower. Views of Mesa Verde National Park can be seen from the room. Authentic Navajo weaving and a Native American sand painting are complimented by a gas fireplace and a television.

Log Cabin:

Across the pond from the main lodge lies this captivating log cabin. The first floor bedroom features a queen-sized bed. A unique full bathroom with river rock shower and bathtub is a favorite among guests. The fully furnished kitchen is compact but has everything you might need to cook a meal on your own as well as a dining area. The outdoor gas and charcoal barbecue add a rustic choice to the menu. Upstairs in the loft you will find a double bed and a sofa with flat screen TV/DVD player. This is a great place to put the kids, but it also doubles as the living room. Three decks surround the cabin for awesome sweeping views including sunsets over Mesa Verde across the pond. The Log Cabin is a self catering rental but breakfast is available in the main lodge for $8 per meal upon prior request. One dog permitted with prior permission.

Guest House:

The Guest House is a three bedroom, 2.5 bath home that can be rented in whole for up to 10 people. The living area has comfortable lazy-boy sofa, rocking chair and recliner. A TV or a gas fireplace can be the focal point of the space. The kitchen is full furnished and ready for guests to cook their own meals. Beautiful mountain views are highlighted from the dining area. French doors lead to a large deck with a BBQ grill. For those who have smaller groups, the Guest House can be separated into two suites on opposite sides of the great room and kitchen, which is shared. There is a sole occupancy option for smaller groups who don't need the whole space but prefer privacy. One dog permitted with prior permission.

Suite One:
This spacious room has one king-sized bed and a twin day bed. A large private bathroom features a Mexican painted sink and an oversized shower with a bench that is great for handicap access. Grab bars around the commode also provide extra support for disabled guests. This room has a private entry as well as access to the common areas of the great room and kitchen. Suite One sleeps 3.

Suite Two:
This is a two bedroom suite with a king-sized bed in one room and two queens in the other. Both rooms share a full size bathroom with an entrance from each room. The bathroom has two Mexican painted ceramic sinks with a bathtub and shower. There are grab bars around the commode to ease those with special needs. French doors to a large deck also serves as a private entrance.
