Colter Bay Village is a series of compounds that include log cabins, tent cabins, two restaurants, a laundry, showers, gift shops, service station and marina.
Colter Bay log cabins offer 166 comfortable cabins of varying floor plans. Cabins sleep up to 6 people. Many of these cabins are original cabins that belonged to some of the first settlers in the area. For your convenience most of the log cabins have complete bath with shower. Guests here love the log cabins:
“Just returned from a week long trip to Grand Teton National Park where we stayed in the Colter Bay Cabins. Cabins were comfortable and clean. The office was opened 24 hours and the staff very helpful. For the money it was a good deal and would certainly consider staying there again if in the area.”
The Colter Bay tent cabins are constructed of log walls and canvas roofs. Tent cabins are very comfortable especially when it gets hot in the summer and it feels good to sleep outside! Tent cabins include 2 double-decker bunk beds, and picnic table. Cots, blankets, and sleeping bags can be rented for a nominal fee. Tent Cabins are available June – September.

Tent Cabins
“On our recent trip, we didn't have room in the car for a tent, so we booked a tent cabin at Colter Bay.
The bunks were wonderful--very comfy. And you can build a fire inside the cabin, in a little wood stove, so we were plenty warm. Privacy was not an issue, and the scenery of the Teton's from our cabin was spectacular.
We even enjoyed the ranger talk at 9 PM that the kids loved.”
Log Cabins
“We had a good time at the Colter Bay Cabins. We had a 2 room-interconnected with 1 full bath cabin. It was roomy and cozy. The cabin was built in 1922 but it is nicely furnished with rustic furniture. Very basic, no phone, no TV like most of the cabins around the area. The bathroom is a little tight, but still nice.”
