Historic Tamarack Lodge and Cabins

The Historic Tamarack Lodge is located in a picturesque mountain valley next to a blue-ribbon trout stream, and only eight miles from the western entrance to Glacier National Park.

The Historic Tamarack Lodge has become quite well known for it's exceptional hospitality, it's comfortable lodging, and its extraordinary value all throughout the year.

The Historic Tamarack Lodge was originally built in 1907, and was fully updated in 2003 to provide guests with the modern amenities that they have come to expect from today's lodging standards.

Being less than 10 minutes drive from the western entrance to the park, and just a short drive from several of the premier communities in Montana's Glacier Country region, The Historic Tamarack Lodge is a great base camp for your Glacier National Park vacation.

Accommodations

The lodging options available at Historic Tamarack Lodge include several varieties of cabin-style accommodations, ranging from studio cabins to large family-style cabins, and there is also one lodge room available in the main lodge which includes a queen sized bed, lofted ceilings, beautiful wood work and a separate, private bathroom.

New For 2012

The Historic Tamarack Lodge includes five newly built cabins for 2012! Three of these new cabins the Stimson, Bowman, and Kintla cabins) are multi-storied cabins built in a quiet location near the back of the property. These cabins include a queen bed on the upper floor and a pull-out sofa on the lower floor, and will sleep up to four adults. These cabins also include a full bath, kitchenette, wifi, satellite TV, and a private patio/balcony for enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

The new Merritt Cabin is ADA approved providing a fully wheelchair accessible bathroom, and a queen bed in a studio-style cabin.

The new Merrit Cabin provides a cozy environment for two, with a queen bed, a kitchen, private bath and a private patio area with a grill where you can sit out and enjoy the beauty of Montana's nature.
