Q:What is the difference between the "Resort" and "Main Inn"? I see that I could get a room with 2 queen beds in either of these two areas of the Inn, but have no idea of the difference.
A:
The "Main Inn" is attached to the restaurant, main lobby, etc. It is the more historic building on the property but does have more direct views of the lake. The “Resort” buildings are across the street and are simply more modern and updated with either a patio or balcony.
Q:Are pets allowed?
A:
Yes, pets are allowed in select room types for an additional fee.
Q:Is this property within walking distance to downtown Charlottesville?
A:
No. You would need to have a car or taxi service, as it is in the countryside just outside of Charlottesville; around 10 minutes from the campus grounds and 15 minutes from downtown.
