Overview of Gateway Hotel

The Gateway Hotel is located in the harbor town of scenic Seward, Alaska, near the incredible Kenai Fjords National Park. The Gateway Hotel, opening in May 2021, will be open seasonally from mid-May to mid-September. Most of the spacious guest rooms at the Gateway Hotel have two queen beds. There are also a few two-room suites that offer additional space. All rooms & suites include the amenities guests look for in a relaxing hotel room. Amenities include satellite television, free high-speed WiFi, mini-fridge, and air conditioning. Please note that no pets are allowed at the Gateway Hotel.

The Gateway Hotel offers a free complimentary breakfast with a variety of hot and cold items including pancakes, eggs, oatmeal, pastries, bread, cereals, yogurt, and fruit. Guests can enjoy panoramic mountain views from the hotel's outdoor deck. Guests can also search for salmon from the hotel's elevated platform over a stream. Gateway Hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to/from the train depot, the cruise terminal, and destinations around Seward. Restaurants and shops are also within walking distance. The start of the beautiful waterfront walking path is right across the street from the hotel. For those embarking on a Major Marine Tours glacier and wildlife cruises, the Gateway Hotel is within walking distance or shuttle service is also available to the cruise check-in offices. Other tours/activities around Kenai Fjords National Park and Resurrection Bay are also easily accessible from the hotel.
