The main visitor center is located in the town of Seward. It is open daily only in the summer season. The Exit Glacier Nature Center, inside the park, is also open daily in the summer season.
Q:How far is Kenai Fjords from Anchorage?

Kenai Fjords is 126 miles south of Anchorage. Visitors arrive mainly by vehicle or the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage. Many visitors also arrive by cruise ship at the port in the town of Seward.

Cell service is limited in the park. At Exit Glacier there is no service. WiFi is available during the summer season at the Kenai Fjords National Park Visitor Center near the Seward Small Boat Harbor.
Q:Are pets allowed at Kenai Fjords National Park?

Pets are only permitted on the road to Exit Glacier (Herman Leirer Road) and the parking lot of Exit Glacier Nature Center. Pets are not allowed on trails like the Harding Icefield Trail or the Exit Glacier area, pets are not allowed in the coastal backcountry, or in public buildings. You can not leave your pet unattended or tied up to an object. Pets must be on a leash no longer than six feet (1.8 meters) at all times. Owners must clean up after their pets.
