Overview of Denali Grizzly Bear Resort

Less than 15 minutes from the entrance to Denali National Park, the Denali Grizzly Bear Resort offers guests a unique lodging experience along the scenic Nenana River. A family-owned and operated accommodation since 1968, the Denali Grizzly Bear Resort offers guests a relaxing place to come back to after a day of adventuring in and around Denali National Park. The property features amenities such as a food truck court offering a variety of specialty foods, a general store, a shuttle service to and from the train depot (fee applies), and an economical shuttle service to the Denali entrance. Open from late May through early September, this property offers guests the option for either a room within the Cedar Hotel or an individual cabin located on the property.

The Cedar Hotel is located along the Nenana River and hosts 119 rooms with private porches overlooking the river or the surrounding mountains and unobstructed views of the Aurora Borealis later in the summer season. These cedar-furbished rooms come with two double beds, private bathrooms, cable TV, WiFi capabilities (fee applies after a 1/2 hour complimentary trial), in-room coffee/tea, and more. Continental Breakfast is also available upon request for parties of 14 or more. The 25 unique cabin accommodations range from "turn-of-the-century" cabins that have been lovingly restored or authentic reproductions of Alaska cabins. All cabins provide guests with private porches with a view of the river or the surrounding landscapes and unobstructed views of the Aurora Borealis later in the summer season. All cabins provide guests with private bathrooms, cable TV, WiF (fee applies after 1/2 hour complimentary trial), in-room coffee and tea, and interior seating. The Premier Cabins come with a kitchen that includes a cookstove and sink. A variety of sleeping arrangements and occupancies for up to six people are available in the cabins.

The Denali Grizzly Bear Resort hosts a general store on the property that includes a variety of options from snacks, ice cream, soda, beer, wine, or spirits, as well as, Alaskan souvenirs, and ice. The resort also boasts a unique food truck court where Denali Thai and Mariachi Moose provide a variety of specialty foods among many other rotating options. Other property amenities include a laundromat, shuttle service (fee applies) and dining options right across the highway. Aditionally there are many other dining options available within minutes of Denali Grizzly Bear Resort.
