The Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge provides guests with a true wilderness retreat bordering the south side of Denali National Park. Along the Chulitna River and inside Denali State Park, the 180-acre lodge is only two hours south of the main entrance to Denali National Park. Amazing views of Denali and the Alaskan Range abound at the lodge, with the peak of Denali only 40 miles away. Open from mid-May to mid-September, the 460 rooms at the Mt. There are four hiking trails at the lodge, ranging from strenuous to easy. The Hill Trail has some of the most scenic overlooks.
The Main Lodge also is home to the McKinley Gift Shop with hundreds of items available to choose from. And with so many excursions available around the region, the Guest Service Desk has friendly staff to assist with activities such as rafting, ATV adventures, hiking, jet boating, fishing, flightseeing tours, horseback riding, zipline, and wagon rides. For those wanting to go to Talkeetna, 40 miles south of the lodge, there is a daily shuttle service at $10 per person roundtrip. The Mt.
