A:Summers are generally mild. Fog is often encountered near the coastline, with sunny, warmer weather more common inland. Winters are generally cool with considerable precipitation. The average annual high is 65 degrees Fahrenheit with the high in January reaching 52 degrees and 68 degrees in July.

Notes: Redwood is a large and diverse park that is spread out over a distance of more than 50 miles in length. There are many beautiful scenic drives in Redwood park, and it would be a shame to miss any of them. The scenic drives in the park range from just a few miles to roughly 20 miles in length, but you will want to plan ample time for driving and exploring these scenic drives, because there are many breathtaking vistas and viewpoints along the way as well as lots of other stopping points where you can pause and enjoy the beauty and serenity of the magnificent redwood groves. It is hard to choose a favorite between the parks incredible redwood groves and its majestic coastal shorelines, but one thing is for certain, you will want to allow plenty of time in your schedule for exploring both. There are more than 200 miles of trails that lead through Redwood’s beautiful environments, and while you can see some incredible scenery from the roads and scenic drives in the park, you will definitely not want to miss the opportunity to dive a little deeper into Redwood’s beauty by exploring some of her awe-inspiring nature trails and hiking paths. There is also many opportunities for other recreational activities and programs in the park including ranger-guided nature walks, tide pool walks and interpretive programs, horseback riding, kayaking, bicycling and more.
Q:How much is the entrance fee at Redwood National Park?
A:No entrance fee is collected at Redwood National Park. The only entrance fee is to the Gold Bluffs Beach section of Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. Enjoy your visit!
Q:Is there cellular and WiFi service?

Cellular service is very limited throughout Redwood National Park. Public WiFi is not available. The spots to find a little data connection is at Crescent City, Hiouchi Visitor Center and the Jedediah Smith Redwoods campground in the north, in the south area there is some coverage at the Prairie Creek Visitor Center, Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway, and Thomas H. Kuchel Visitor Center.
Q:Are pets allowed inside of the park?

Pets are not allowed on any of the park trails, buildings, or ranger-led programs. Pets are allowed at the Walker Road in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park or on the Cal Barrel Road in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. Pets are also allowed in parking areas such as Lady Bird Johnson, Fern Canyon, Tall Trees Trail, and Stout Grove parking lots only. Elk Meadow Day Use Area parking lot. The scenic viewpoints of Klamath River Overlook and Redwood Creek Overlook. The beaches of Freshwater Beach, Gold Bluffs Beach, and Crescent Beach. You can not leave your pet unattended or tied up to an object. Pets must be on a leash no longer than six feet (1.8 meters) at all times. Owners must clean up after their pets.
