Kootenay Park Lodge was originally built in 1923 and was the main lodge for the Canadian Pacific Railway. Offering cabins in traditional rustic design with beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife sightings. It will feel as though you have stepped back in time while walking among the historic buildings and cabins. Kootenay Park Lodge is about 45 minutes from Banff National Park and Lake Louise. The property sits along the picturesque Kootenay River. The lodge is around 50 minutes up north from Radium Hot Springs and about 28 minutes south from the Castle Junction.

Many other popular hotels are located outside of the park, some are in the Village of Radium Hot Springs and offer more modern amenities. By staying in the Village you can take advantage of all the town has to offer, and you are close to the hot springs which are located just inside the south entrance of Kootenay National Park.
