Accommodations at the Ahwahnee Hotel feature 121 rooms including 97 hotel rooms with one king or two double beds, as well as 24 cottages. The Featured Hotel Rooms come with one king bed, a private bathroom, and a shared balcony to take in Yosemite's breathtaking views. There are a limited amount of these rooms so book far in advance to guarantee this option! Please note: per the fire code this room has a maximum of three people only with one rollaway bed.
There are two ADA Junior Suites available they offer one king bed, a twin-size hide-a-bed, a parlor room, and either a private bathroom with a roll-in shower or a private bathroom with grab bars. Please keep in mind when booking that if you do not need an ADA room please avoid booking this room type.
The El Dorado Diggins Suite is now a Jr Suite at the hotel, which in years past has been a private dining room, a cocktail lounge, and even a chapel during World War II when the Navy used the hotel for convalescing servicemen. This suite has one king bed and features a sunken living room with a sofa sleeper, a large picture window, and a private bath with a Jacuzzi bathtub.
The Library Suite, otherwise known as the Underwood/Tresidder Suite, is a parlor room consisting of the Underwood Room and the Tresidder Library. The Underwood Room is a comfortably sized room with one king, television, and leaded glass windows commanding an excellent view of Yosemite Falls and West Valley. The connecting Tresidder Library parlor is a large sitting room with a fireplace, sofa sleeper, chairs, a dining room table, and floor-to-ceiling library shelves, dark wood paneling, and deep comfortable furniture contributes to a feeling of elegance and grandeur.
Once a private bedroom, the Mary Curry Tresidder Suite, is a Junior Suite in the hotel, which was transformed into guest accommodations in 1970. On her trip to the park in 1983, Queen Elizabeth II even stayed in the suite, which only guarantees the room is fit for royalty. With a four-poster canopy king bed and rich color palette, the room has a decidedly romantic and royal ambiance. Maximum occupancy of two. No sofa sleeper and no rollaway beds allowed.
This Presidential Suite once stayed in by former President John F. Kennedy on a trip to Yosemite during his senate years, is the most elaborate suite at the Ahwahnee Hotel. The parlor has a fireplace, chairs, sofa sleeper, flat-screen television, and a magnificent view of Glacier Point. The bedroom has one king, a television, and a full modern bathroom. Both the bedroom and the parlor provide direct access to the large shared balcony. The adjoining room next to the suite can be booked to accommodate a larger party and guarantee a private balcony. The adjoining room is a Classic Hotel room with two double beds.
The Sunroom Suite is a very bright and airy suite with the most noticeable features being the floor-to-ceiling windows facing Half Dome and Glacier Point in the parlor. The decor is understated elegance and the parlor room has a sofa sleeper and the bedroom has one king bed and a modern bathroom.
The Third Floor Suite is located directly above the Presidential Suite, and is exactly the same except this suite does not have a balcony. The parlor has a fireplace, a sitting area with a sofa sleeper, a television, and a magnificent view of Glacier Point. The bedroom has one king bed, a television, and a full modern bathroom.
A little more spacious than the Standard Cottages, the Classic Cottage offers more room and a better view of the surrounding pines and hotel grounds. These elegant cottages each have two doubles or one king and a private bath, including all the amenities of the main hotel rooms.
