The Hotel 24 South (Formerly Stonewall Jackson Hotel) is located in the historic downtown Staunton, VA. Staunton is where the 28th president, Woodrow Wilson was born. It also has five separate historic districts. One exciting district includes the American Shakespeare Center featuring the Blackfriars Playhouse which is the last existing reproduction of the original Shakespeare's Blackfriars Theater. Museums such as the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and the Museum of American Frontier Culture are other favorites. The downtown corridor has been historically preserved and favors Victorian-era architecture.
The Stonewall Jackson itself was one of the original hotels in Staunton, VA. The hotel was restored in 2005 and a stylish renovation in 2018 brought the hotel a contemporary flair while keeping with much of the original detail as possible. Each room houses architectural artwork representing the theme of downtown Staunton. It is a full-service hotel that provides a spacious business center including 8,500 feet of meeting space. The fully furnished fitness center and indoor pool and hot tub make staying at the Stonewall Jackson a pleasure.
