Q:What is not included in the package price?
A:
Retail purchases, alcohol, spa treatments, flightseeing tour, and gratuities. Please note that gratuities must be given in cash.
Q:Are there telephones at the Roadhouse?
A:
There are no landlines or cell coverage, but there are satellite pay phones available. Guests can bring a pre-paid phone card or purchase one at the front desk.
Q:What is the baggage limit on the bus?
A:
On the buses, one 35 lb bag per person is permitted along with one small carry on that can ride on the guest's lap or stow below the seat. The checked bag must meet the standards of an airline roll-aboard bag. The baggage policy is strictly enforced.
Q:Can Denali Mountain be seen from the Roadhouse?
A:
Not from the Roadhouse, but there is at least one shuttle every day, just after breakfast, that travels 10 minutes to Wonder Lake. When not shrouded by clouds, the Denali Mountain and the Alaskan Range can be seen from Wonder Lake.
Q:What types of animals can be seen?
A:
Especially on the bus ride to the Roadhouse, there are possibilities to view bears (brown and grizzly), moose, Dall sheep, wolves, and caribou. Binoculars and long-lens cameras are recommended.
