A:Groveland Hotel guests have reported odd happenings in the historic classic room #115, the hotel's most popular room. Lyle the ghost is said to not like ladies' cosmetics on his dresser and will either knock them to the floor or carry them to the bathroom. Lyle is also known to turn the water on and off. The Northern California Paranormal Investigators have done an investigation here and identified two other ghosts as well.
Q:How old is the Groveland Hotel?
A:There are 2 buildings to this historic hotel. The oldest building was built in 1849, an adobe known as the only example of Monterey Colonial architecture in the Sierras. The "new" building was built in 1914 to accommodate San Francisco city officials while the Hetch-Hetchy reservoir was being built.
