Located along the historic West Street in downtown Bar Harbor, Sand Bar Cottage offers guests a boutique lodging experience with a blend of old-world charm and modern luxury. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the original three-story Boscobel cottage was built in 1887 and the Chauffeur's Cottage was built in 1888, which was the original servant's quarters for Boscobel. Sand Bar Cottage is open seasonally from early May to early November and features a variety of rooms and cottages that have been comprehensively redesigned in 2021. Rooms are located in the Boscobel Cottage, the Chauffeur's Cottage, and the newer Acadia Cottage. The one-acre property also houses a few stand-alone Garden Cottages. All rooms and cottages feature a private bathroom (en suite and detached), flat-screen television, free wireless internet, and air conditioning. Select room types also include fireplaces and spa tubs. mini-fridges, balconies, and porches. All rooms are not pet-friendly and non-smoking. Please note that select days may require a two-night minimum stay.
