Overview of Mount Royal Hotel

After a fire in 2016, Mount Royal Hotel has now reopened in July of 2018. All accommodations and suites have been redesigned in the classic Banff decor. The main part of the hotel, dining, and lounge areas was also completely redesigned as well. A new rooftop lounge and hot tub area were added for guests appeal and great views of the town and surrounding mountains.

The Mount Royal has 136 tastefully appointed rooms to choose from for your accommodations, suites (for an extra touch of luxury and privacy) and even deluxe suites (jetted bathtub, fireplace, large screen TV) if the occasion demands.

Mount Royal Hotel offers space, function, and elegance... all cues taken from the world outside their windows. From a small railroad outpost to a thriving tourist township, Banff has certainly changed a lot during the past century. And, as the community has grown, the Mount Royal has retained its constant presence downtown on the corner of Banff Avenue and Caribou Street.
