This glacier landing flight is a great way experience the beautiful glaciers of Kenai Fjord National Park even if you are short on time. During this flight you will fly over three separate glaciers, and then land on one where you can get out handle the glacier ice and get some unforgettable photos.

Tour length:	30 Minutes: 15 minutes flying, 15 minute landing

Description

This 30-minute flight will whisk you away to a hidden lagoon where massive icebergs (some more than 200 ft wide) which have calved from Bear Glacier float idyllically in the lagoon and serve as floating rafts where seals and otters sunbathe. After exploring the area around Bear Glacier, you will take a scenic pass over the Harding Ice Field and Exit Glacier on your way back to the airfield.

Select from one of two different flight routes on this tour to maximize your Alaskan flight-seeing adventure.

Coastal Route:

The coastal route will circle past Bear Glacier, the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park, then you will continue on to Aialik Glacier, the parks most active tidewater glacier to watch as massive chunks of ice calve into the sea! Following some time at Aialik glacier you will continue on to remote Northwestern Fjord to see the truly remote and isolated Northwestern Glacier! Then it’s time for a circle over Harding Ice Field on your way back to Seward!

Inland Route:

If you would rather explore some of the inland beauty of Alaska, choose the route that will take you over the Chugach National Forest and Seargant Icefield! This route will swing over some beautiful, dark inland forests and the seemingly endless stretches of Seargant Icefield, as well as providing some incredible views of hidden bays and inlets along the coast, and some beautiful hanging and tidewater glaciers!
