Springdale Location Makes Easy Access to Zion

This is located in Springdale, which is the place you want to be if easy, immediate access to Zion National Park is important. In fact, there is a free shuttle bus in town that takes you to the Zion Visitor Centre, at which point many people then catch the Zion shuttle. This works for most people because the general parking fills early in the morning.

MOTEL MENTALITY

This place, while in a beautiful area just outside of Zion National Park (which is its only redeeming thing about it) is a motel...not a lodge. The horrible customer service we received, poor amenities, and plumbing issues were beyond disappointing. At check-in, Kelly was VERY short to us, and we felt like she didn't want us there! Worse still, while waiting in the lobby - we overheard her griping to the other employee Zach at the front desk, about the "doosh#*%" ownership - as well as plenty of f-bombs... ZERO professionalism! It's a rotten shame that the very people (clearly hired as part of a program to employ 'challenged' individuals) show such disrespect to their employer and the motel's guests! : (

The price doesn’t match the experience

This hotel is extremely overpriced. You don’t get the experience for the price. The room walls are paper thin. My kids could not fall asleep because of the TV next door. The toiletries provided are so pathetic - not even enough for one person for one shower. There is no breakfast at the hotel. You can get a breakfast for a discounted price a mile from the hotel which is not very convenient since you have to take a shuttle everywhere. We did like the beautiful view from our room. The room was clean and spacious even though not decorated. I would say the price didn’t match the experience. Also, hotel owner, please consider to stop burning a chemical candle in the lobby. It gives some people massive headaches. I couldn’t spend any time in the lobby because it made me feel sick.

My second time staying at Driftwood Lodge. Was here in November also and will definitely be back. Marty, at the front desk, is such a fantastic employee and makes sure everything gets taken care of for you. I am in the customer service industry and appreciate good service. Have stayed at several hotels in Springdale and Driftwood is my new favorite. The rooms are really spacious and clean with very comfortable beds. The location is excellent with wonderful grounds and beautiful views. I had the same room both times, which also has a back porch. It was like my own little cottage. My service dog, Chadwick, gives it a High Paw!

Paid a premium for this hotel. Marginal housekeeping and laundry equipment broken. Soap, hand lotion, shampoo and conditioner were all substandard. Had to get fresh towels, coffee mugs and coffee pods from the housekeeping area on my own. Don’t stay here. You’ll be disappointed. Host did not even say thank you upon check out. You don’t need our business.
