My friends and I stayed at the Parry Lodge for three nights, using the lodge as our home base for sight seeing trips to Zion National Park and other nearby sights. Our rooms were impeccably clean, each with coffee makers and an assortment of coffees and teas, a small fridge, microwave and hair dryer. The beds were comfy and the pillows fluffy. The grounds were well kept, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The lobby and common area were decorated with photos of old western movie stars that had stayed there back in the day and the decor was vintage nostalgia. The pool was sparking (which I used), the nearby fire pits were lit at night and provided a nice place to sit and relax. Free old Western movies were shown at the Old Barn Playhouse at the back of the property (which we didn't get a chance to see). Our stay at the Parry was part of a cross country road trip from Florida and California and back; we opted for a road trip over flying because we were concerned about COVID. We wanted to avoid hotels with crowded lobbies and elevators, and I can say that the Parry Lodge was the very best motel we found in terms of feeling safe traveling the country during COVID. During our trip, we adopted a routine of wiping down surfaces in our rooms with a disinfectant wipe as soon as we arrived, and the Parry Lodge passed our "white glove test" with flying colors! Daily housekeeping, onsite restaurant operations and buffet breakfasts were suspended due to COVID, but clean towels and supplies were left at our door and bagged breakfast goodies were available free each morning. The big motel chains paled in comparison! This was the CLEANEST, most well maintained and best value of any motel we stayed at during our coast-to-coast trip!

I came to Kanab in 2019 for the Western Legends battle of the bands. That is when I first saw the Parry Lodge. I liked it because it had been the destination to many of my favorite old western movie stars and writers. I told my wife that I wanted to stay there in 2020. We came back this year and registered. We absolutely loved the Parry Lodge! The courtesy of the front desk staff and maintenance crew was just awesome. In the center of the parking area sits an old western barn where they show vintage western movies every night. It was simply delightful. The Lodge is close to all the happenings of the Western Legends festival. I'm handicapped and can't walk very good and so being there was a treat. The room was simply wonderful with awesome air conditioning. It was fun to learn that John Wayne, Zane Grey and a myriad of others stayed at the Parry Lodge. I was not disappointed and will come back again and again and stay here. The price was also very affordable. The Parry Lodge will be my destination again when visiting Kanab, Utah.

I recently stayed at the Parry Lodge in Kanab and was so impressed with the property and the people that work there. They handled to pandemic issues very professionally and made you feel safe in every aspect. If you enjoy western movies then the Parry is also a destination on its own as it was heavily used by the film studios over the years in lodging movie casts and crews when in the area filming. There is a wealth of photos and memorabilia on the walls there. You are located right in the middle of this quaint town and walking distance from shows and restaurants. It is also a short driving distance from many spectacular places you will want to see while there; North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Lake Powell, Paria Canyon, the Wave, The Maynard Dixon Museum to name a few. I hope to be able to visit this beautiful and historic place many more times.

The rooms were very nice and clean. I loved the Western decor and theme of the Lodge. So much interesting history in the place! It was fun to watch an old movie in the little Barn Theater. The people were friendly. Overall, I was very happy and would come back again! :)

I read lots of reviews about how charming the old Hollywood feel of this property is. The hotel lobby is really cute with lots of movie star photos and charming details but walking in the room is a big let down. In my opinion, the motel hanging on because of that Hollywood connection. The room was not clean, which during COVID is a big deal. There was a lot of hair on the floor in the bathroom and in general the floor was simply dirty. It had not been washed in a while. (I took a wet towel and it was dirty after wiping the floor.) There was peeling paint on every wall in the bedroom and bathroom. The grab-and-go breakfast was ridiculous--a stale packaged plain bagel with a tiny packet of butter; a cold no-name stale Danish, a Capri Sun, an orange with a small bottle of water. The orange was very good. I'll admit that once I saw how much hair was on the bathroom floor, the rest of my opinion was downhill. Cleanliness is really very easy, it's just soap and water.
