Conveniently located close to Bryce Canyon National Park. Very good breakfast and dinner buffets (breakfast included with room rate) with an optional paper bag grab & go alternative for breakfast. Attentive staff throughout hotel at check-in and travel desks, in dining room, in guest room (for a maintenance problem we experienced with our door), and in coin laundromat, which had plenty of machines and was kept very clean.

Ruby's Inn is a small world campus, has diverse friendly staff, mostly clean rooms, no HBO, great fitness center. It is definitely one of the better run hotels in Bryce Canyon City, a bit pricey grocery store, nice gift shop. The breakfast buffet is a nice feature offering fruit and cottage cheese as options in addition to the standard eggs and sausage. I hope travelers will remember to tip the serving staff as tip is not included in the meal ticket and they are friendly and professional staff.

My wife and I spent two nights at Ruby's. We had stayed there in 1984 when it as great, and again around 2001, still pretty nice. They have let things slip pretty badly since then. Some lowlights: At check-in, it took longer than it should to have the desk clerk call us over (the line was very short). Worse than that, he gave us a room on the second floor. We did not realize there were no elevators (we stayed on the ground floor the first two times). Well, I have bad knees and my balance is not that good, and we had some fairly heavy luggage. I explained all this to the desk clerk, who looked at me as if I were really bothering him, and said all the ground floor rooms were booked solid (this was the start of off-season). When I said we were upset he became surly and grinned sarcastically and then and glared at me. So we dragged our luggage upstairs (the stairs were OUTSIDE and somehwhat steep with spaces in between each step and made of metal). The food for dinner was very good, and we were served promptly. Our wait staff was friendly and we tipped accordingly. Breakfast was awful, with no line contol and basically just eggs of one style, sausage and bisciuts. No bacon or other offerings (well some terrible looking pancakes). They have gotten way more commercial, and now have added a tour service beauro, a country and western dinner show, etc.. From what we observed, the owners (BW or whomever) now own almost all of Bryce Canyon City. The room rate was obscene for what we got, around $ 260 per night! The room was older and although a decent size, there was nothing special about it. Their gift shop has dramatically increased in size, prices seemed okay. Upon check-out we were summarily disimssed without as much as a smile or a thank you for choosing that property. They are closest to Bryce Canyon National Park (a wonder) and so they will always have built in clientele, and we feel they are now resting on their laurels. We will not be coming back there.

I was the conference chair that we recently held at Best Western Plus Ruby's Inn. What a great experience! Perhaps the best part is working with the great staff. Everyone is so accommodating. Nobody pushes back when we make requests, instead they smile and say that they will see what they can do. We just hosted 165 people there at Ruby's Inn for a GIS Conference. They came up with specialty meals for those few who had specific dietary needs. Dang! The whole thing went off without a hitch. It was a great conference. This is the forth time that we have hosted a conference at Ruby's Inn. We like it because they are so good to us. Every three or four years, we go back to enjoy the comfort and the exceeding hospitality of the good people at Ruby's Inn.
