Excellent destination for xc skiing and other winter activities

We were looking for a place for xc skiing and this place is just exceptional! Trails are well groomed twice a week with wide skating and one classic track. Access to the trails is free of charge. Not all trails were groomed, but those 30 km of groomed ones were sufficient for us. Trails start from the Winter Adventure Center in few mins of walking from the hotel or right from one of the hotel lodges. There are no difficult elevation raises. I normally gained 150-200 meters total per 20 km of skiing. We stayed for a week in January and there was enough snow, sunny weather, not too warm, not too cold and only few other people. People come mainly on weekends, but during the week I saw literally no single skier on couple of days. Views of Bryce Canyon in winter are amazing. You can reach the canyon on skies in couple of places. About 8000 feet elevation makes skiing experience even better. In addition to xc skiing they have an ice rink, snowshoes and fat bikes. I replaced one day of skiing with a fat biking - what a fun! Rent it for half a day, take a thermos with hot tea and camera and you will have another memorable day! All rentals are cheap compared to other places we traveled to for skiing. Excellent vacation, we cannot be happier! The hotel itself is probably the best BW we stayed in.

Racist and unkind in the souvenir shop

The fat woman who appeared to be an Indian in the souvenir shop was unkind and racist. The bedroom was old, but its price was good. It was hard to sleep and loud noise like the sound of an airplane engine in a heating system. The scale was great, so many different poets were good.

Average Hotel

The location of this hotel is all that it has going for it, in my opinion. The hotel was dated. There was some sort of convention going on so, the pool area was overwhelmed with kids and the hot tub was consistently full of adults. The positive was that the hotel had the only open restaurants for the entire area. Please note that if you are going to Bryce in the winter, everything is CLOSED. Our hotel room was ok, the door was hard to get in and out of and so everyone was consistently slamming doors into all hours of the night. I felt like I was going to fall through our bathtub while showering and our door to the fridge wouldnt stay shut. I probably wouldnt stay here again.
