Ruby's is a HUGE establishment. The original lodge burned down in the 80's, they rebuilt is bigger and better than ever

They gave us a room in the way back, near the lake. We would probably have appreciated it more if it had not been snowing IN LATE MAY. We drove over to the enclosed, heated pool's outside entrance/parking lot for an evening dip. All of the rooms are clean and well furnished. The shuttle bus has a stop right at Ruby's, so you can avoid the worst of the congestion and parking problems inside the park during the busy season. If you feel you MUST drive, 1. start early, 2. drive all the way to the end of the park and stop at the view points on the way back so you do not have to cross traffic.

I do not usually leave reviews but felt compelled to do so here. We had a small problem with our room so I went to the front desk. The manager was available right away and solved the problem. Thanks! Regarding the restaurant: After reading the mixed reviews we were unsure what to expect: Both breakfast and dinner (buffet) were very good. Everything fresh and tasty, Natalie our server was very friendly and efficient. Two thumbs up!

Stayed for one night to visit Bryce Canyon before heading to Zion. Good location for the Park. We were in a twin room with two comfortable Queen beds. Basic room with fridge, microwave, coffee machine and tv. Aircon/heater was efficient but very noisy so you couldn’t have it on all night. Small bathroom with shower over bath, plenty of hot water and good towels. We stayed in an annex on the top floor which is a good job as we knew the people underneath could hear us walking about. The plumbing system in all rooms is very noisy, within your own room and the neighbouring rooms. There is a fast food cafe next to the property and a full restaurant in the main building. We just had breakfast which was included. Nothing special, just the usual hot/cold food but a very busy place. The staff were efficient but not overly friendly and seemed a bit fed up. Overall, the hotel is sufficient for a stay in the area.

Good Hotel for Tour Groups

The hotel is clearly setup for tour groups and it seemed like they did a good job funneling a lot of people through. There was lots of merchandise available, activities you can schedule and buffet style food which is mediocre. The accommodations were good but the experience was very impersonal.

We checked in early to two rooms which were ready when we arrived. We received connecting rooms without having to ask. The lobby was cute and check in was quick and easy. The rooms are very outdated but clean. The pool was spotless and the hot tub was nice. We went to the connected restaurant for a late lunch. The connected gift shop was nice and also had a large selection of food for a late nice snack. The hotel is right near the entrance to Bryce Canyon so it was very convenient. We had the free breakfast buffet in the morning and it was great. Anything you wanted and it was in the restaurant so plenty of seating. Piillows were very lumpy and mattresses not so great.
