My wife and I stayed 2 nights. The staff were all amazing. Everyone is in a good mood. The hotel is huge. The bar and restaurant are both excellent. The front staff of the hotel...always greeted us with smiles. The service here is top notch. We stayed here because we wanted to walk back and forth to SPAC. We just feel a little gouged about paying $700.00 a night for a wicked small room. I am assuming they jacked up the prices due to the concert.

Stayed for 2 nights with my husband. We were greeted very warmly by the bellman and the front desk. Our room was clean and beautifully furnished. The staff in the restaurant was attentive, with generous coffee refills. The view of the patio was lovely. Also very charming were the vintage phone booths, with rotary dial! We are anxious to return to this hidden oasis.

The good news is that the hotel is within easy walking distance to SPAC which is why I chose it. Check-in was clunky and late-4pm. No offers to accommodate with a room that was ready. The hotel bar was nice enough but the bartender was so tired from working the prior 2 nights that another customer thought she was hungover...I just thought she was rude, until I made an effort to be nice and understand why she was so lack luster. The salad was actually really good with a nice lightly tossed vinaigrette and a perfect piece of salmon. Went to “pool” and learned it is the public park pool. Not inspired. Then got to my 250/night room and was sorely disappointed. Super small bathroom, no where to put on make-up or do my hair. Had to use an old ugly table with poor lighting in a dark room with a seriously loud, old fashioned window air conditioner. Granted it was 90 degrees out so I was grateful the AC worked. Not at all what the website pictures represented.

Seems they might let you know the resort pool is: owned by the State of NY, locals line up 2 hours before opening, and you get a square foot of grass to sit on. Was told I could line up for 2 hours tomorrow if I wanted a lounge chair by the pool. In addition to the hefty room night charge, there is a Resort fee for this level of comfort. Seems to me I should have been informed. Feel scammed.

Always a pleasure!

We love the GP! The location is absolutely beautiful, and if you're there for a concert, the scene and atmosphere cannot be beat. The staff is always super professional and friendly. Desiree, a superb desk employee, was so friendly and helpful that she really made our trip feel special. We can't wait to go back!
