The section of Fairbridge that we were assigned to stay in needs to be knocked down by a bulldozer. Very old and dingy! The mattress was old and we kept rolling toward the middle of the bed. We were disgusted and checked out a day early.

Place is located conveniently a mile from the main strip attractions. Our room was not swept prior to our arrival , bathroom toilet paper holder is rusty the light lamps need a good dusting and windex. The heating / cooling unit unit is loud. Our towels were old. I think overall this place needs to invest in all sort of things for upgrades. They did offer military discount which is cool and I’m grateful for.

Nice place, room updated nicely. Roomy! Comfy beds. Clean room. Loved being right on the rolling creek. Check out at 11:00 is great so not too early. WIFI was weak only minor complaint. $5 breakfast was good. Would stay there again.

A MUST STAY!!!!

First, Brandon was the first and last face we saw....We appreciate you and your help and all the staff. Now....Wife and I will DEFINITELY be coming back to Gatlinburg and Brookside Resort will be our goto place to stay. If you look to be wowed by hotels and resorts like my wife and I when you first pull up you wont get that. The room has an old hunting lodge feel. Microwave, small refrigerator and sink. There is a small 2 chair breakfast nook.....but......if you get a room with a fireplace THAT will be your icing on the cake! There are wood burning fire pits all around the grounds, the river runs through the property with a picnic area and a bridge to relax on. Our room had a wood burning fireplace and did we use it... The resort is about quarter mile from the end of the main strip, so if the weather is nice, take comfy shoes and walk. ( all parking is 10 bucks). There is onsite breakfast, all you can eat. Now, its not exactly IHOP BUT.....for your 5 bucks you get eggs(real eggs) bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffle maker, cold cereal, milk, coffee. In my opinion it is just as tasty as what you will spend 10-15 bucks on for a breakfast buffet anywhere else.

Staff seemed too busy to answer my questions. Luckily I found better accommodations with nice folks who take care of me. Cleanliness was absolutely not up to par. Management needs to make some changes with staff
