Bedding was dirty. There were bugs. Toilet was loose at the floor. The room and the bedding smelt musty. They advertise a wood burning fireplace. But you have to buy the wood and there is no gas starter. Rip off $195 per night. Don't waste your money.

Not at all what we were expecting...

Went with my husband for a weekend away. The property is a bit older and a bit farther away from all the main attractions. Not necessarily too far to walk, but it would be a bit of a hike to get to the main strip. But that's on us, we should have checked the maps better before we booked. On arriving, the room looked cute, just like the pictures (we booked the honeymoon suite). But the longer we were in the room, the more disappointing it was. We tried to give it some grace as we knew the building was a bit older, but when we went to draw a bath, we saw the bathtub was DIRTY. Like actual dirt, hair, remnants of some brown liquid on the sides... it was gross. Trying to sleep was a nightmare as the bed was so uncomfortable. The sheets were stiff and scratchy, one pillow was soft but entirely flat, and the other pillow was equally as flat but felt like a brick. Again, the longer we stayed, the more we noticed: holes in the walls from old decor that never got filled, large hole in the closet from who knows what, outlets that didn't work, poor lighting, etc. It was not the experience we were hoping for. We definitely won't be returning.

What a great find this place was! Older property, super clean and this is the first place I've stayed since the pandemic where housekeeping serviced our room during our stay. Our room was literally brook side; our balcony was perfect relaxing spot. Staff was super friendly and accommodating; there were no bedside lamps so we asked about getting one, and when we returned from our outing a little while later we had one. Onsite breakfast was fantastic, the servers were super-pleasant and food was great and the time...(8-11 am) was great for vacationing folks. Trolley to downtown was a nice perk. Pool/hot tub looked nice but we didn't use. Downsides: not enough parking close to our building and there was a broken down pick up truck taking up one of those prime spaces. I realize that's not a big deal (or deal breaker) but my husband has difficulty walking. Also, the wifi was not very strong and did not work on the balcony. We will DEFINITELY be returning!

City close country quiet Our first time visiting Tennessee. Very relaxing vibes. At first look Brookside isn’t a super fancy place BUT EXTREMELY CLEAN & WE FELT SAFE. Quick & easy check in process. Very nice check in clerk. The front desk Explained to us the lay of the land. Free breakfast daily. Upon arrival inside room was quite cozy and homey feeling. The bed was comfy with plenty of pillows. There is a small fridge, microwave & coffee machine inside room. Plenty of hot water. SPARKLING CLEAN room. Room service daily. I am very anal and take clorox wipes and lysol spray with me to every hotel I stay in & NOT ONE SPEC OF DIRT. I was very pleased with the lodge. There is a private balcony and creek outside the hotel room in the back. The hotel was a Perfect location near the main parkway of Gatlinburg a lot of entertainment, food & bars. The Blue FREE ( they work on tips bring $1 bills) trolley stops in from of the lodge. Very easy and convenient. The trolley has an app where you can track it. They usually pass every 30 minutes & bring you right into town. You can also walk about 10 minutes into town from the lodge. Very easy to get around town staying at the Brookside lodge. We feel that we stayed at a Perfect place for 3 nights. Do not drive into town very busy. Take trolley, walk or an uber. Parking is $20 one time only no exiting or pay again in Gatlinburg. They also have two pools outdoors but we didn’t get the time to use them we did see other guests and they seemed to be enjoying. We will Definitely stay again. highly recommended. Loved how centrally located Brookside lodge is to everything we wanted to do. Let me tell you this Lodge was cleaner than my Cabin i rented for two days in which charged me an obscene amount of money. Quick tip: You can also leave your car in Gatlinburg welcome center and take FREE purple trolley to get into town to avoid $20 parking fee.
