The Bluenose Inn is a beautiful lodging place to stay. It was our first time and we were impressed by its amenities. Unfortunately, we personally felt uncomfortable and out of place. We were given a room at the far end of the corridor (away from it all), the gentleman at check in seemed uneasy by our presence and when we attended the Piano event, other guests demonstrated their dislikes (dirty looks, ugly comments and just plain racist demeanor). Fortunately, the bar tender and pianist where pretty friendly and accommodating. Since we’re frequent travelers and stayed at other hotels of this caliber and better, we were surprised and saddened by how out of place we felt. Changes need to be made to make everyone feel welcome.

Exceeded expectations

We had a wonderful stay at the Bluenose Inn. The staff went out of their way to make this a memorable experience. We loved the Inn, the location and the magic of Bar Harbor. We will be back and recommend our family and friends to stay here.

Stay in front building!

The beds were very comfortable, but I will admit the room felt very 70’s. Old furnishings and the bathroom reminded me of my grandmother’s (the refrigerator was located under the sink??) Not very private, as there’s a window above toilet and everyone shares balcony. There was a safety concern with doors propped open and “house key” for rooms. Location is good, but would not recommend walking to town from hotel.

Ridiculously beautiful property!! However you want to stay in the main building!! Pay for the view! It’s amazing!! Property is immaculate and rooms with fireplace are spectacular. Just enough outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown. Comparable properties are Bar Harbor Inn and Harborside resort for considerably more money

EXCELLENT!!!

Beautiful room, amazing ocean view, awesome piano player! We will come back!! They take great percautions concerning Covid in Maine - very comforting! Great location within walking distance ( < 1 mile) to town and Acadia National Park. Had a delicious breakfast at the Looking Glass restaurant with a peaceful ocean view.
