We stayed here as part of a coach tour called Colours of New England, which should be avoided at all costs. The hotel itself was acceptable but there was no dining room and to get something to eat we had to travel by golf buggy, it had been raining and there was a towel on the seat to dry it off so that our clothes did not get wet.

We stayed in the main building and in an upper room overlooking Frenchman Bay. The rooms are large, very confortable, with upscale amenities. The view of the bay is fantastic. Bluenose is a short drive out of the town of Bar Harbor and was quite. Also it is just a short drive to the entrance and ranger station at Acadia.

This was our second visit to the Bluenose Inn. The last time was 15 years ago and we thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd visit. We had a very spacious suite in Mizzentop to enjoy the fabulous Bay views. . We loved the fireplace and the huge bathroom with double vanities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The great room with fireplace was a nice place to sit an relax with a glass of wine, read or in the evening listen to the live entertainment. The Looking Glass restaurant had exceptional dining with fabulous Bay views. The Inn is about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown . It was a wonderful stay for us!

We had suite 426. Best in the hotel. Huge views. Big rooms. Nice balcony. Fireplace. Massage chair. Two big TVs. A cleaner who was proud of her work and did great job. Nice people who solved problems when they arose. Close to everything but far enough away from he crowds. A little quirky in some ways but the views are stupendous. Continental breakfast leaves a little to be desired.

This was our anniversary weekend and we got to enjoy the stay. Very close to town and Acadia which was perfect. Beautiful views as well. Next time we'll come during the regular season and not at the end of the season
