What an amazing stay!! Our view from Mezzantop was spectacular mornings, dusk, foggy, rainy or sunny. I cannot say enough about the cleanliness of every room we saw. The Great Room really brings you back to a different time. The historical background of the place was a great read during our down time. Easy access to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbors countless dining options. Just an ideal spot with accommodations that lack nothing. Great job to everyone, cannot wait to come back.

Nickel and diming

I made a reservation here but due to a change in plans had to cancel 13 hours later. They charged me a $35.00 administration fee. I asked if this could be waived given that I held the reservation so briefly. their response ? "It says right there on the web site that there is a cancellation fee. No exceptions" I get it, but honestly, is this kind of nickel and diming the best way to show your hospitality? I think we all know the answer. Stay somewhere else.

Excellent stay!

Staff was very friendly and the hotel itself was well kept and comfortable. The views from our balcony were amazing. Listening to the pianist Bill in the great room was entertaining and a perfect way to end the day after hiking in Acadia.

Beautiful view, good location

The view was definitely the highlight of this place. Especially after seeing what else was available around Bar Harbor - we made the right choice by staying there for value, view, and location. We liked being able to walk into town. Downhill there, uphill back, and probably 20-30 minutes each way, so some physical fitness needed, but worked well for us. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Classy and elegant.

We can't say enough about the Bluenose Inn. The hotel was elegant and romantic. Our suite room in the main building was large yet cozy. The balcony view of the harbor let us watch the morning sunrise. The sitting area gas fireplace was a nice surprise. Bill Trowell at the piano bar was a show-tunes wizard. Staff was super helpful. Easy access to Acadia National Park and the Bar Harbor town center.
