I brought my wife to the Bluenose for her birthday when we first met and since we repeat that experience. Because we come up around the end of October we like their rooms in the main building with fireplaces and a balcony that overlooks the town and harbor. The rooms are nicely sized and clean. There's free wifi so we can be online planning our hikes off the Acadia loop road which is minutes away from the hotel. As always the staff was nice and helpful with trip ideas and the piano bar was a great end of day way to relax.

We chose the Bluenose for location, price point, & the on site facilities. Our expectations were exceeded with the lovely view and spacious room right when we walked in. The fireplace, cute furniture, and balcony were much nicer in person than in photos from what we remembered. Pleasant staff. Cute restaurant with nice view is a walk up the hill or you can drive. They're only serving breakfast during this time but was good for a to-go meal. We didn't use the indoor pool or hot tub since we forgot suits but that was a perk. Everything was very clean except for one dirty wash cloth that was hanging on the shower rod when we arrived. Easy to miss as it blended with the curtain but still gross since it had hair on it. The tv had decent channels but of course the one channel we wanted one night had no sound... No biggie as we were there for the location. Hand sanitizer in all the main areas and the pianist available on various nights was such a nice touch. Loved sitting in the bathrobes by the fire or out on the balcony. Beds were comfy with plenty of pillows and the AC/heat worked well. Great location for access to Acadia and Bar Harbor restaurants. We had a wonderful visit and will definitely be back.

While the rooms are a bit dated, they were very clean and well maintained. The view from the balcony is amazing and well worth the few extra dollars to have the area outside, especially during Covid. The hotel is perfectly located for a visit to Bar Harbor shops and a quick drive to Acadia National Park. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean and spacious. Loved the pool area. The room was very hot, the air conditioner did not work. The heat was on even when turned off. Very disappointed that breakfast was not included and the restraint was quite a walk and not that good.
