My family and I have stayed a Zypher cove cabins a few times. We loved the location and the little cabins. However this time we where put in to cabin 25. When we got to the cabin it was freezing in side. The heater was off and it was 20 degrees outside. It took the heater 3 hours to warm up the cabin. The light switch in the bathroom was bad and we had no lights. They did come to fix it the next day in the afternoon. We were staying 2 nights and planned to cook dinner one of those nights. We had placed a pot of water on the stove and turned it on high. It sat there for an hour and never got hot. I was told at check out that the heater was supposed to be on so it would be warm in the cabin. If we ever go back we wont be staying in cabin 25.

My wife and I stopped because this place was reccomend by some locals, and they said it was good but slow, we had some time so what the heck? Well it was not good at all, the food was cold and over cooked, the water glass had lipstick smear on it, and when I tried to wave someone over they went into the back, our server was so slow I grew a beard waiting, dont waste your time or your money here.

Amazing Restaurant from a bygone era

Remodeled in late 2013 to include a seasonal outdoor deck for dining, the Zephyr Cove Restaurant - more affectionately referred to as The Lodge - is reminiscent of its original design from the early 1900s. The dining room is adorned with a large, stone fireplace that is situated between windows lining three sides of the quaint room, exposing views of the lake and the mountains through nestled pine trees; creating a beautiful dining atmosphere. The staff is great, the food is GREAT and I always love a situation that allows one to walk back in time. This was that type of thing. The Restaurant has been redone and the food is great, but the ambiance is from the era of Route 66, kids in the station wagon, the windows down and the family out to see the rest of America!! An amazing stop in time with good food, great view and great staff. If you are out that way, don’t miss it!!!

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at this resort. We stayed in the RV camping area which was loud close to the road, but once we moved to the back part near the tent camping we found peace and quiet. The location near the lake and access to the lodge and restaurant were also very nice. Most of the staff were very kind and helpful, although not particularly knowledgeable about the area outside the resort - such as hiking trails and what not. The bathrooms and showers were clean, with plenty of hot water. HOWEVER, the unisex bathrooms REALLY NEED toilet seats - which they DO NOT have. The stainless steel toilets are extremely unpleasant - especially without a liftable toilet seat.

Cabin is nice . Only complaint is the shower, so small I you can barely turn around to wash and rinse. No place to even set soap down. This would definitely keep me from coming back when there are so many other options to stay at Tahoe.
