The place felt more like a cozy apartment than a hotel place. It's got a true mountain lodge vibe to it, not just the name. It was quiet, private and..well, cozy. We stayed in a lodge studio with a kitchen stocked with everything we needed to cook a family meal. Staff were friendly and helpful when needed. The whole resort and surrounding nature give you beautiful views at any direction. It was so relaxing. Loved the winding mountain drive every day, to and from the resort. Loved the town, the national park. Wild Huckleberry is a thing here for locals and visitors. The only thing could be better was the laundry room. Laundry machines needed an upgrade. They were old and loud right next to the restaurant's entrance. Other than that, our stay at Kandahar was enjoyable. We had a wonderful time exploring Whitefish, Glacier NP of Montana

Loved!

The lodge was quaint! It had great service, kind people, beautiful flowers hanging in front and was located on the top of the mountain with a scenic drive! The beds were comfy and the outdoor hot tub was lovely. Rocking chair in front make for a nice reading spot!

Neat little lodge where we were able to ski in/out. the room wasn't very large, and the heating/cooling wasn't real modern so at times the temperature wasn't great. It did have a fridge in the room which was nice. We did enjoy sitting by the fire downstairs with large couches to accommodate. It was nice to have a hottub but not a fancy area by the hottub. The continental breakfast each morning was great as well. friendly helpful people working there as well.

Located close to the Village, the Kandahar Lodge is a step back in time to a more relaxed ski trip. The lodge is rustic in nature with a welcoming fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating in the main salon. Since there is no elevator, the guests will experience a number of stairs to access room, work-out facility, and hot tubs, so this isn’t a place for those with mobility issues. The rooms are comfortable in size, but in need of updates. The included continental breakfast features cereal, instant oatmeal, bagels, pastry, yogurts, and an array of meat and cheese. Apres ski offers popcorn, cookies, coffee, and tea. The Snug bar is just that, three small tables, but has fantastic food available. The Kandahar Cafe is a five star restaurant and offers three to four fixed price gourmet meals. The staff at the lodge is exemplary, and out does themselves on service. They offer a shuttle throughout the day to the ski lifts with drivers who go above the call of duty to be helpful. The lodge is ski IN but one has to either take a shuttle to the lift or walk a small distant across the street to access the hill. All in all, a fun, cozy, atmospheric experience where you can meet like minded travelers, share experiences, and enjoy the beauty of Montana.

A large group of us stayed at the Kandahar and it could not have been more perfect. Rooms great, breakfast great, cozy fireplace going 24/7, convenient ski out and in, restaurant awesome, prices sooooo reasonable, hot tub great, staff awesome, transfers to mountain very very quick! If you want a warm, beautiful ski lodge this is it. Can't say one bad thing about it. Thanks to all of you!!
