We stayed at this hotel as part of a Trek travel cycling group. It was a great location to kick off a couple of cycling trips in the area. This was our departure point for our west bound trip over Going to the Sun road. It was really nice to be able to ride right from the hotel parking lot without having to be driven anywhere. We also did nice cycling adventure outside the park proper, but still very scenic. We had a nice stay at the hotel. It was quiet and provided a good night’s sleep in a cozy atmosphere. The only problem was that breakfast took an extraordinarily long time and the order was incorrect, which is very stressful when you are about to cycle Going to the Sun road. We were late for the planned departure time which added some anxiety on a day when I didn’t really need extra stress. If you are planning do anything during the day, arrive at breakfast before the restaurant opens.

My 19 y/o son and I spent 4 nights in St Mary in the green tiny house. Super location to stay as it is on the east end of the park where you can best view wildlife. We would hike during the day and go back into the park at dusk to look for bear, elk at Two Dog Flats. St Mary is so close to the park entrance, that travel in and out was a breeze.
The tiny house would warm up during the day so we kept the blinds closed. Sleeping at night with open windows was so awesome with a cool breeze (40s) coming thru the cracked windows. A small fridge and microwave with a sink was included. The bathroom, though a 20 step walk on a paved side walk outside the house, was spacious. No issues with having enough hot water. Multiple fun dining options were close to St Mary’s especially TWO SISTERS.

Way too expensive for what it provides.
We stayed here as we needed to be over the east side of the park early in the morning and there were very few places to stay around the area. It really feels like the guys here take comeye advantage of the monopoly they have. The prices chared were totally excessive for what was a very basic room without even a breakfast included. The worst value we experienced in anywhere we stayed over our 3 weeks in America

Perfect location for park transportation
Truly enjoyed our stay and access to the park transportation. Has a great gift shop. Located near a helpful Visitor's Center and a quality ice cream parlor. Stayed in the west motel that was decorated appropriately for a park.

Beautiful room and lodge.
This is a beautiful place. The rooms are huge and have a nice mountain decor. My only complaint was that something outside the window and possibly the ac unit banged loudly and squeaked all night long so I couldn’t sleep( it was a windy night). Ear plugs didn’t even help to muffle it. And isn’t sleep the main reason you book a room for the night in East Glacier? It was the last open day of the season so they kept running out of food choices at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. But that is understandable. Check in wait was longer than acceptable and we thought we were being rushed out of our room the next day. Otherwise a nice place that is very convenient for East glacier and right at the entrance of Going to the Sun rd.
