Pick your room very, very carefully

Been here a few times before, and have always had a solid, good nights sleep. Maybe I have been lucky, as there are always a surprising number of people staying here The front desk are excellent. Young, enthusiastic, caring, engaged and helpful. The rooms vary hugely. There are expensive ones over looking the river, but the river and mountainside sound great, but are pretty bleak. Not worth the extra. The second floor twin rooms in the main building are OK, but very dark, with a horrible view of new, hideous looking cabins. Don’t, whatever you do, get a ground floor room, as there will be little natural light, and you’ll be looking at a wall a few feet away. I did OK, but pick your room with great care

Room was a nice size with reasonably comfortable beds. Fairly clean but quite dated. Luckily we had a river view room but the other side rooms were not so lucky. Close to park entrance so fairly convenient. Nit many options in this area. OK for a day or two.

Not what I expected. Some parts seem updated, others not so much. Not as clean as would be my preference. The sink counter hit mid thigh (I am 5'10") but it is not an accessible room so a wheel chair cannot fit under, good for kids I guess. Convenient location right at the North Entrance of Yellowstone. No breakfast included.

Only book a riverside room

Woken every other day by bin men at 6am. Bottom sheet yellow in centre. ‘Mountain view’ poor /misleading. Ground floor room look at lovely mountain over the top of parked cars. Back of hotel looks at an unattractive mountain over the top of other accommodation. River view room would at least have good views and a balcony. Shower good.bed comfy. Housekeeping irratic-beds not made first day but towels folded.

The room was nice and clean the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly. Our view was of a back wall, very expensive for what you get ie no breakfast. Gardiner had very limited dining and what was available was very average. Not worth the money, personally their are better options at West Yellowstone or Cody.
