Nice motel. Friendly staff, good bed, fluffy towels

This is a nice motel. Extremely convenient for Yellowstone. When we first drove up, I was a little nervous because it looked dated but the place was spotless, good bed and pillows, fluffy towels. Room had a refrigerator and microwave which came in handy because we spent so much time in Yellowstone park that the restaurants would be closed (most close at 8-9 as we were still in off season). I recommend hitting the local grocery store or else you’ll go to bed hungry if you come out of the park after 8pm. The staff was the friendliest of our entire trip. Yellowstone was awesome. We saw tons of bison, red foxes, trumpeter swans, sandhill cranes, black bear, grizzly and gray wolf (with spotting scope) and so much more! Trip of a lifetime!

My wife and I spent four nights at the Ridgeline Hotel. We were (or not) greeted by a young person at the front desk. He didn't say much, and it was hard to get him to give us information. We wish he would have been more informative, and you'll see why in the following paragraphs: After we finally got checked in with a room on the 2nd floor, we discovered that there was no elevator, so we had to haul our stuff by hand up the stairs. There was very weak Wi-Fi service in our room (Room 203). We were moved to Room 201, where the Wi-Fi signal was a tad bit stronger but it still demonstrated slow Internet download speeds. I went to the pool spa and my room keycard didn't work. I went to one of the maintenance staff, who told me that I had to get a special pool keycard from the front desk (It would have been nice to get this information from the young man at the front desk). When I finally sat in the Jacuzzi, the timer to the jets didn't work. Also, the power in our room blew out. After maintenance showed staff where our individual room breaker were located, our breaker switch was turned on, our power was turned on (Staff didn't know individual breaker switches existed for each room). However, the room was quiet (our room was facing towards the Yellowstone River), and the room was equipped with a microwave oven and a 1/2 refrigerator. Management, please do a better job training your staff. I would not return to this hotel, nor would I recommend anyone to stay here.

I tried to cancel my 3 nights reservation. Could get no help via phone. We had a family member get sick with Covid Symptoms and we were exposed. I tried calling 3 times and still had no success to cancel. I spent almost 3 hours on hold and still nothing was done to help me. This is unexceptable. This was a medical emergency! We will never stay at this place in the future and will not recommend it.

Upgrade to a Riverview Room

The hotel has three classes of rooms, basic, mountain view and river view. I had the Riverview and it was near perfect. The riverview rooms are in a newer freestanding two story addition. All rooms are direct access from outside, and parking is immediately adjacent to the building. The term riverview is dead on. Thirty feet from your window is the river and the undeveloped land and mountains beyond. Room size was generous. plenty of room for two queen beds a chair and worktable and chair along with refrigerator and microwave. Access to the pool and hot tub are currently limited, a pass is required from the front desk to limit the number of people there at any one time. The business center was closed, but the front desk printed my flight pass for me. As part of covid response rooms are not refreshed during your stay. Was not an issue during my four day stay.

Spent the night before going into Yellowstone NP. Walked into a freezing room. Turned on heater and then went to dinner. Came back to a warmer room but the heater kept blowing hot then cold. It ended up making my pizza I bought back cold. Then TV didn’t work. We were moved to a different room, then all was well. The morning desk clerk, Will was vey nice. The night desk clerk, April was snippy. She said she called for maintenance when I suggested she just give us another room. She did say sorry for all the inconvenience. But her attitude before was weird.
