The Ridgeline Hotel At Yellowstone
super cabins, great base for exploring yellowstone park

we recently spent three nights at ridgeline hotel where we booked one of their cabins.
so this review is about the cabins, not about the motel rooms.
first, the cabins themselves (i think there are nine of them that you can rent) are simply great.
as a couple, it was roomy enough for us, one large bedroom with a good closet space, one bathroom and then one living / kitchen area.
i saw some people travel as families with kids using those cabins, but in our opinion it would be very cramped for more than two people.
each cabin has its own balcony and a really nice 'roof deck' from where you can actually see wildlife thru unobstructed views in the mountains around the town of gardiner. - we saw two elks 'fighting' on the sidewalk and in the morning went on the roof deck and saw several elks wandering in the hills / mountains - awesome.
they actually have a pair of binoculars in the cabins that you can use - but we brought our own.
the bed was comfy and the sleep quality was excellent - you do hear a bit the street noise in the early morning with cars and trucks, but nothing to disturb our sleep.
the kitchen / living room area was perfect for us - taking our breakfast in the morning and cooking some basic stuff in the evening - after a long day in the park.
large screen TVs in both the living room and bedroom - so no fight over watching the football game in the evening ...
both rooms had heat pumps (a/c and heat) so it keeps the cabin very comfy.
the bathroom is small but totally workable and functional, shower worked fine, no issues with hot water, etc..
the staff was very helpful whenever we needed advice or missed something.
there are common fire pits outside in the front yard - but we didn't use them - we were just too tired at the end of the day - Yellowstone is huge and awesome and we tried to enjoy it as much as we can.
gardiner is a good base to access the park (Couple of minutes from the north entrance) - less crowded than west yellowstone.
enjoy

Best Place We Stayed in Yellowstone/Tetons - Wonderful!

It was a steal price-wise as we went during off-season. The staff was lovely. The firepits were going in the evening and the morning, and they gave us s'mores kits so we could make our own and chat with lots of other guests. This is the only place we'll stay in the Gardiner area in the future - we adored it!

Great place to stay when visiting the North end of Yellowstone National Park.

Facing the mountains, it went along with my planned vacation. A pleasant surprise was the use of Binoculars and Walking stick already in the room as well as the outdoor fire pit and s'mores kit. If I was spending more than one night, I definitely would have used them. The breakfast Buffet was plentiful but most of it I could not eat. :( Needed more protein, less carbs. I wasn't there for any other meals to compare but the restaurant is close enough to see first before choosing whether to stay to eat. I chose this hotel because it was closest to the North end of Yellowstone National Park which I was visiting that day and the price. It was more than I wanted to spend for just one night but less expensive than the surrounding hotels. I would definitely recommend for more than one night because of it's location to the park.

It was clean, perfectly decorated and comfortable. It had all the amenities needed. The view from the top balcony was beautiful. The staff was very nice. Cindy at the front desk and Jesse who helped us with our luggage and gave recommendations on places to go. We stayed only 1 night and wished it was longer.

Ideal Hotel And Location For Visiting Yellowstone NP

Our room was in the main hotel and was modern and very spacious. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and a nice touch was the binoculars and walking stick that were included.
There were fire pits near the reception with marshmallows for toasting and a nice covered pool and hot tub although we didn't have time to use any of these facilities.
The hotel does not provide breakfast but they have coffee available all the time in reception and the nearby shop sells warm pastries each morning.
We also walked across the road to the bar/restaurant in another hotel for an evening meal.
I would stay at this hotel again. It's in an ideal location for visiting Yellowstone and it's very clean and comfortable with the benefit of a selection of shops and places to eat nearby.
