My family and I stayed in Acadia Inn for a week and were very pleased. It was very clean, breakfast was served every morning, service was great and it was very close to Acadia National Park. We will definitely be staying here again.

Great location and friendly staff. Room was very clean but a bit small. Nice covered porch with rockers to relax in. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. Complimentary bikes, walking poles, umbrellas. Breakfast bar needs some more choices.

We come to Acadia National Park yearly and usually stay in Bar Harbor proper. However, this year friends were staying here so we decided to join them. It is pretty much like a Hampton Inn (which recently opened up the hill). We had a room on the 4th floor overlooking the back. For a romantic couples or people wanting the shopping and restaurants of Bar Harbor, I would look for something else.If you want a reasonable and clean place to lay your head after spending all day in ANP, this is a good option. Pluses. • Good value for this time of year. Our room was less than $200, for two queen beds and included breakfast and afternoon snack. • Nice lawn in the back where you could relax. A sunny spot outside for eating breakfast • Friendly staff at the front desk. • Access to bike trails behind the Inn. • If you are a family, there is a play structure and they have smores and outside movies some nights. • There is a shuttle to town. Bar Harbor is not that far away by bike- there is a new wide sidewalk. Minuses – not really many given the price point. • Get a room on the back, the view is nicer and there is no road noise • If you are looking for an “Inn”, something quaint, this is not it. There are lots of others closer to town that would fit that bill.

Really loved our stay at the Acadia inn. The front desk staff were beyond helpful and answered any question we had about the park or the buses (which stop at the hotels doors!). Breakfast was perfect to set you up for a day of exploring the NP - unreal blueberry muffins. Would 100% stay here again. Seemed to be daily activities for kids, campfires and s’mores. The rooms were fine for what you need and pay to stay and a good size.

Basic in Bar Harbor

Very basic hotel just outside Bar Harbor. Shuttle operates to take guests into town which is a good service, though it meanders a bit! Bar Harbor is lovely and well worth a visit. Room was decent size and clean but functional. The hotel has no bar and lacks a bit of soul and spirit. Contrary to other reviews we found the staff to be a bit indifferent and not particularly helpful. Will suit many travellers looking for basic accommodation but the price was far from basic so this struck us as an expensive compromise.
