TLDR; - Sugar Pine Ranch to date has still been unresponsive since our stay in August 2023. - Property had no power for entire duration of stay. No air, no lighting, no backup or generator power, no response or communication besides the bare minimum during that one night (and nothing since) - Property didn't send check-in instructions until we arrived on the property and after we spent significant amounts of time trying to request them in the middle of a storm. No big deal (and storm was out of their control), but property then inaccurately says check-in instructions were sent earlier (but in fact instructions were sent the day after, AFTER we checked out as evidenced by time stamps). Happy to amend/include these if the property wishes to dispute any of this. - Property disputes the power outage by telling booking.com that there was indeed power to the property, and goes insofar as to provide a fabricated photo of a room with lights on to booking.com to assist in their case (not directly to us, obviously). Well, there was in fact no power during the entire stay. Again, if the property wishes to dispute this publicly, MORE than happy to provide evidence here. ....but seriously? A photo with the lights on? I'm mainly floored by the audacity to lie (and fabricate something no less), but also, did the owners of the property drive out in the middle of the night to the property just to take a photo of an unoccupied room with the lights on, just to preemptively provide evidence against a potential, future customer claim? (by the way, didn't sleep at all that night since there was no air and we had the windows wide open due to the heat build-up in the room - pretty sure I would have seen/heard car lights coming on the property, but that's besides the point). Secondly, unless that photo was actually sent to booking.com that night with a timestamp, what exactly is that supposed to be evidence of? Conclusion: shocked by positive reviews here. If the owners of this property actually care to address this issue or speak with me directly for once, I'd be more than happy to revise this review to accurately reflect everything that's happened - I don't believe in making false or unfair statements regardless of how unsatisfied I am. Unfortunately it seems the owners are dishonest and unethical with what I've learned through two different agents at booking.com, so I am compelled to share my experience.

Raj at Yosemite West Gate and Inn at Sugar Pine Ranch saved the day when we had a problem with our AirBnB late in the evening. He went out of his way to make sure we had an accommodation even though it was late and he was fully booked at YWG. The cabin at Sugar Pine Ranch was cute and comfortable and gave us a feeling of being away from it all! The coffee maker, water bottles and toiletries provided were a great amenity and the bed was comfortable. The star-gazing from just outside our door was wonderful! Many thanks to Raj for his kindness and we will hopefully be back and/or send friends and family his way.

Staying here was probably one of the best decisions we made while visiting Yosemite for the holiday weekend. This intimate cabin homey all our needs and was a good distance between a town and Yosemite. I highly recommend staying on this beautiful property.

One of the best stay I’ve ever been in Yosemite in Sugar Pine Ranch. You will witness great star gazing just 500ft from this place. The cottage is well situated within the woods and has a vintage rustic vibe to it. You will also have access to pool well situated within the woods. Overall, it was wonderful experience in staying Sugar Pine Ranch.

Me and my friends stayed at the Inn during our visit to Yosemite this Feb at the Family cottage. The experience was surreal to say the least. The cottage is well situated within the woods and has a vintage rustic vibe to it. The best of it all though, was the star gazing we got to do during the night. It was just too magical - we’ve experienced nothing like that before. The swimming pool (though we did not get a chance to use it) was well placed between the woods.
