Good service, lodge like facility

Great service by the front desk staff with fast check in, clear instruction and information on elevator location, room location, and breakfast time. Responsive to issues I rased and solved it creatively. For example, the room had no office chair, only sofa chair, harder to sit for me. They listened to my reasons and pulled one from their own office for me to use, which I appreciate this customer-centric mindset. The room was missing tea bags, they brought me more immediately with different brands to choose from. Unlike other Holiday Inns, this property provides more of a "lodge" feeling. Negatives: 1) Hardly any electrical outlet near the desk or in the room. Inconvenient. 2) The bed was tilted.

Great hotel in Cortez for our anniversary trip. Nice staff and wonderful breakfast. Thanks for the coupon for your restaurant on property for dinner. Very comfortable for our one night stay. Only thing that could have made it a little bit better would have been having the pool a little warmer. Thanks for the great stay.

Perfect !!! On our way to visit Mesa Verde, then to RMNP we stayed 3 nights here. Not one thing to complain about. From check in to the room, the customer service, the breakfast, facilities to check out…. Definitely recommend staying at this place. Also the restaurant right next door was great!!

From check-in to room amenities, this place was awful. Check-in: They would not let my wife check-in for us because her last name is different than mine. But it's not just that they think it's still the 1950s. Her name was on the reservation! Then they insisted on a paper copy of my AARP card. My AARP number was already registered with the reservation and I've never been asked at any hotel to show the card. No card, no ARRP rate I was told. The room had no desk space to work on, except for a small table with a coffee maker that I had to put on the floor. But then there was no chair to sit on while working and no extra outlets to plug in phones/tablets/computers. I appreciate that some hotels try to be green by using refillable shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower. But it's not fun to get into the shower and then find out that the soap and shampoo dispensers are empty. Terrible.

The room was fine and the breakfast pretty good. The Native Americans in the lobby made beautiful jewelry. My only complaint was the pool…way too hot in the pool area! Seriously couldn’t even walk through without my eyes tearing up from chlorine and heat.
