Beds and pillows are yummy 😘. Shower pressure is fantastic. Free breakfast was outstanding (especially loved the pancake maker!). Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Would definitely recommend!

Fine hotel, questionable town

All of the cheese omelets were burned and although the oatmeal bar was set up, there was no oatmeal. The juice machine was broken, and the offerings were sparse. The employee who should have been working was sitting at a table texting and scrolling through her phone, then left entirely to make a phone call.
Just a note about Cortez. This is one of the sketchiest, backward, drug-riddled communities I've ever stayed in. It's convenient to Mesa Verde, but the town is not safe. We live in a big city and know how to function safely in an urban environment, but this was shocking. If we ever visit Mesa Verde again, we'd stay in Durango and avoid Cortez completely.

Nice Place to Stay When Visiting Mesa Verde National Park

Stayed here two nights while visiting Mesa Verde National Park. Complimentary breakfast was helpful prior to a day of hiking. Employees were friendly and helpful with local restaurant options that proved to be spot on. Nothing fancy, but perfect for family vacationing. Very quiet, which is always a plus!

The staff was friendly, the facilities were decent, and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was actually somewhat better than anticipated. Easy access to Mesa Verde and restaurants.

No Swimming here

The pool area was 90-100 degrees and extremely humid. The noxious fumes from the pool were enough to make you ill but the green murky water said it all. Should be visited by the health department. The rooms were very clean which was a plus. The breakfast had a lot of choices but very average. Will select another hotel next time.
