My children ages 17, 13, & 9 loved this hotel better than anywhere we stayed on our 7 day road trip. Upon check-in they gave us complimentary supplies to make s’mores by the campfire. They have a great game room and pool. My children actually asked to come back to the hotel while we were out in town. Exceeded my expectations!

There are better options
On the positive side the hotel does have a nice bar and restaurant, although the restaurant really only does burgers (but they are good). The firepits outside are a novelty and reception and the pool are nice areas. The bedrooms have been neglected in any refit and are very tired. We only stayed one night which was tolerable. Its location is a few minutes drive from the centre of Estes Park and not within walking distance. It does not represent good value and is below average but possibly not in the poor category.

Pictures are deceptive
We travel a lot as a family and this is one of the few times where the stay did not live up to our expectations based on the pictures and the price we paid (upwards of $250 per night plus a per day resort fee). We were given a room in the west wing which we found out later were the pet friendly rooms. If they’d been listed as pet friendly rooms on the site where we made the booking, we would’ve never picked it. There are no elevators and we had to haul our suitcases up to the 3rd floor. The pictures also made it seem like the views were great but the hotel is literally off the main road with power lines running very close which mar whatever views there are of the mountains.

How does this place have any good reviews?
This is the worst place I have stayed! Windows so dirry, we thought it was foggy outside! No safe in the room, no exhaust fan in the bathroom, window screens are so poorly fit, a bee got in the room! Toilet needs 2 flushes every time. No sound proofing, you can hear everything in the room next door. Never again!!!!

Great hotel in beautiful location
We stayed at the Ridgeline for a week while attending a Leonberger Specialty (dog show for one breed only). The rooms were large and clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and the location in the Rockies was beautiful. There was snow on the mountain tops, and a herd of elk grazing across the street most days. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel has a bar with a good, but limited, menu. Breakfast was great and very affordable, but only available on Saturday and Sunday. Our air conditioning was iffy toward the end of the visit, but opening the window a little let in enough cool air that it wasn't a problem. We'd like to stay there again some day.
