Very pricey ($226 per night) for a low quality hotel. The staff was some of the rudest I have encountered in the hospitality industry...and I worked in the hospitality industry for 20 years. And, well, the place is kind of a dump. See the photos (and these photos are only from our walk to the room from the front desk - one way...I gave up after that). Thankfully we were only booked there for one night. Also, overcharged by the front desk, and when I called about it, I was told someone would call me back. Over a week now, and still no call back. Finally, asked for vegetarian options at the restaurant, was told I could get the cheese soup without the sausage in it. it was delivered, took a big bite...and guess what? Loaded with sausage.

We loved this hotel and highly recommend both the hotel and the town. It is a beautiful town with amazing mountain views and a cute downtown with shops and restaurants. The hotel is in a great location. It's close to everything you can possibly need. You could walk to town and it's an easy drive to hikes, grocery stores, laundromat, etc. Most importantly, the hotel was clean! Secondly, it has great amenities. Our teenage kids enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub with a movie screen and the all night game room with a variety of games. My husband and teenage daughter played oversized Connect 4 which was cool. There was videogames (X Box), big screen TVs with movies, and pool table. There are also fire pits outside with adirondack chairs all around them, which are so nice at night. The main desk gives out smores kits and the kids loved that. Everyone around the fire pits were very friendly. Unfortunately, there is no breakfast included and what they sell is ridiculously over priced. However, there are plenty of places around to grab food or sit down. The River Walk downtown is lovely as well. We stayed here and took a drive to hike and sight see. We then went on to drive Trail Ridge Road to Grand Lake, which we also highly recommend. Great trip!

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of July/beginning of August 2019. Our room was in one of the "out buildings" without easy access to an elevator. Fortunately my husband and I are able to and didn't mind carrying our suitcases up a flight of stairs. When you check in, the staff gives you the option to "waive" housekeeping in exchange for free drink coupons. We chose the drink coupons. You also get a coupon for a free s'mores kit. We couldn't get anywhere near the firepits at night to use it. There was a conference in the hotel and they had both fireplaces crowded with their attendees. Our room was mostly clean, but there was a nasty spot of mildew below the faucet in the tub. The bathroom was small, as a result so was the vanity. No little bottles of toiletries, instead big bottles. I was ok with that. We had an issue with 1) our toilet running constantly and 2) running out conditioner. We called and they were VERY prompt in responding and fixed both issue immediately. I liked having the restaurant and bar in the hotel. Service was awesome the first night, iffy the second. The poutine was not authentic (made with tater tots) but was REALLY tasty. Lots of families using the amenities (game room, pool, etc.), so we didn't bother. I don't know if I'd say it was worth the money or not. It depends what matters most to you.

The rooms who are not in the main building far from the pool aren't quite at all! We didn’t sleep all night because of noises after our only request when checking in was a quite room and the front desk employees laughed at us. The hotel is overpriced and not worth it only because of location! All the complained I heard other guested had were answers with a plain “sorry” from the Management. The hotel does nothing to help the guests feel welcome at all. DISAPPOINTING!!

Excellent overall and fun extras

I’ll list pros and cons, including being picky since everyone has different standards. This was for a romantic couple overnight but we are parents so we get the kid factor. Pros: -Great sleep, firm but soft top beds, washable covers -No guest noise bothered us at all (end Unit, lots of families here this weekend, hotel totally full) -Main staff was friendly and helpful and even got us a special extra for our anniversary, which was much appreciated (I don’t know if they do that often) -Great pool with movie playing on big screen, pool towels provided, indoor, hot tub (not very hot and small but grateful for it). Great non slip flooring smart for kids and older people! -Bfast buffet was great- eggs, omelette, pancakes, meats, pastries... tasty and easy ($16ish adult), but the Staff was way behind on filling everything. Mgr was running, very friendly, awesome. His staff was slow and not great overall (a few boys especially) but food was good. Cons: -Shower small but fine- has the hotel curved curtain rod, which I really love for not touching the curtain when showering -Our room could use more light. There’s the switch for the entry light, but all the rest/lighting the bed area and main room were wall lamps that u had to go around and switch on individually. Not that bright but relaxing if u like low light. -There was a small mountain, trees, empty parking lot view for us (corner/end room 328) which was nice and quiet- but windows are old and foggy so could be clearer. -Bfast buffet kids (not the great Mgr) were not great, didn’t notice empty food trays, weren’t very experienced or sharp -Pool was great but hot tub very small, jets not working well, little unsure about the color/circulation but I could be wrong about the concern. Overall great pool; would change hot tub -Only one elevator, so a little slow when at capacity, but not a big deal and most of us should be taking stairs anyway
