A very cozy hotel with indoor corridors. The building is an old building but has been remodeled. The portable heater works great. The are restaurants and a bar across the street. This is very convenient. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

Charming hotel! Clean and comfy room. The only two small negatives were no hair dryer or small size shampoo /conditioner. No big deal, but the website listed them as included. But other than that a great non-chain place to stay! Close to great shopping a d restaurants!

Really neat historic hotel. They are remodeling and upgrading the rooms. Our bedroom was upgraded, but missing the refrigerator and the microwave. The bathroom was not yet remodeled, but everything was in good working order. We stayed on the main street side overlooking the street and it was noisy at night so if you want a quieter room ask for an interior room. Continental breakfast with standard muffins, bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal, juice, and coffee. Good strong coffee. I would stay here again. We chose it based on the location, right on the main drag downtown Sonora, so we could enjoy the restaurants and bars after exploring during the day. Check out the Sonora Tap Room tucked east off the main street down an alley, good beer and they have live music.

Excellent! I plan to return next time I'm nearby on business. I loved that the Sonora Inn is a historic hotel in downtown, near good restaurants. The woman at the front desk was super friendly. My room was perfect--a quiet, recently-renovated room with a comfy bed and wonderful historic tile bathtub surround for vintage charm. I picked up a delicious dinner--Ahi tuna salad and cream soda--from Embers across the street. Could not have been a better visit! I give it five stars!

A bit quirky, but well located

Very well located. Bed was nice, but electrical outlets were in very short supply. Breakfast was not as good as many, but it was adequate. Reception parking as well as parking in general was confusing if you don’t know they own the hotel behind and share parking
