Far from the maddening crowd

This inn is in a great location, far enough away from the traffic and hype of Gatlinberg and still having good cell phone signal. The style is traditional/comfortable. The property is on over 30 acres with walking trails, gardens and a swan pond. If you would like to feed the swans, management will provide on with a bag of lettuce. Every bite of food we had on the premises was delicious. The staff was both gracious and attentive. We stayed in cabin four. Parking was right next to the cabin, great for an elderly or handicapped person. There were 4 seats outdoors, 2 in the screened porch and 2 more outside. The kitchenette was well equipped. If you have the price fixed dinner, excellent by the way, you may bring your own wine and there is no corkage fee. The toilet was low for a tall person .

Wonderful Stay

The room was excellently cared for (we stayed in the red room). The staff was very friendly and it felt like staying with close friends and relatives. Lee and John (Innkeepers) treated us like family from the moment we arrived until we pulled away from the Inn to return home. We would definitely recommend the Buckhorn Inn to our friends (in fact, we already have!).

A quaint, laid-back, gem of a Southern Bed & Breakfast !!

I just love "quaint," and this place is the epitome of laid-back, quaint, all-southern charm !! Reminds me so much of the stuff you see in Southern Living. A relatively small place, the main Inn has several sitting rooms and libraries, and the rooms are just impeccable. As a true "bread and breakfast," they feature a superb breakfast each morning, and dinner at the Inn is optional. You can see the view pictures from our room, which looks out to Mount LeConte, which at 6,600 feet above sea level is the highest point in the Smoky Mountains that is fully situated in Tennessee. The one mile nature trail features a nice pond, beautiful gardens, and a variety of hardwoods and shrubs. The staff seem to be mostly long-term employees, and they are very accommodating and helpful ! We can highly recommend this place which is off the beaten path, yet within ten minutes of downtown Gatlinburg.

I wrote a review a few years back but it needs repeating. Whenever we need or WANT to get away from Atlanta, our first choice is ALWAYS Buckhorn Inn! We have been a guest for so many years we feel like it’s our second home and the staff are friends. We have stayed in almost every accommodation available from rooms in the lodge and a house on the property, to several of the 7 cabins. We have our favorites but are never disappointed when those are unavailable because we know the level of exemplary service remains the same regardless. A gourmet breakfast made to order by a staff chef is always included every morning. A gourmet prix fixe dinner is served every night by reservation provided again by a staff chef. Every meal whether breakfast or dinner is always a dining pleasure, served with a smile and gracious attitude. Of course we will return, just never soon enough to suit us! The Sullivans

Warm and inviting.

Absolutely lovely. Quite, beautiful surroundings. Charming Innkeepers greet you. Rooms are charming. Beautifully decorated. Downstairs is lovely for breakfast or dinner The chef is top notch. Nice to have two choices for breakfast. This Inn makes us feel at home. The grounds are very well kept with gardens and a lake with a surprise two lovely swans. Nice walk around the lake and awesome view of the mountains from the rocking chairs on the front porch.
