The cottage was so quiet and very clean. It had a great fireplace, small but efficient kitchen, and a very huge tub! The hosts were very nice and accommodating. We loved the swan pond and the walks around the 30 acres and the view from the front porch. I simply can't say enough! You have to stay here and eat dinner/breakfast (can be delivered to the room) while you are here. Amazing food. I would love to post pictures, but I can't figure out how to do that! :)

We have stayed at the Buckhorn several times and always enjoy our visits. The service is great, clean spacious rooms, and the breakfast is fantastic. We especially love the premier rooms. The grounds are wonderful for hiking.

We stayed at the Buckhorn Inn in late July, and it was just what we needed. There were no COVID worries there. Breakfast was delivered to our room, and our room was not serviced until we left which gave us such peace of mind. There was contactless check in as well. Everything was spotless, and it is located in such a quiet, peaceful setting. There's so much to see right there on the property. They have so much land to walk on as well as a vegetable and flower garden. The lovely swans are a joy to visit, and the delightful desserts in the afternoon just top everything off. In my opinion, there is no better place to stay.

We stayed at Buckhorn inn in late July and it was wonderful experience. The hotel is approximately 10 minute drive from crowds of Gatlinberg and it is ideal if you want to avoid COVID virus. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My wife fell down on the trail and scrapped her knee .We requested owner lady and she immediately provided first aid kit.The breakfast is complimentary and it was very good.We did not eat any dinner but we heard ,it was very good and required reservation. We stayed in room 1 and had wonderful view of mountains. There is also a short trail, which leads to small garden and lake.Avoid crowds in Gatlinberg because one of our friend’s family became sick by mingling in the crowd. There is one nice Italian restaurent ‘The taste of Italy’ about 5 minute drive from hotel. The rates are also very reasonable , if you compare with hotels in Gatlinberg. So if you have your own car, this is ideal hotel.I don’t have anything negative to say.

Charming and delightful, the perfect retreat!

Buckhorn Horn is a cut above the typical area accommodations. With its secluded mountain getaway feel, but only a minute or two to restaurants and attractions, it is a wonderful retreat into a quiet and restful surroundings. Delightful pathways are found winding throughout the grounds, and our stay at an independent cottage brought a serenity and calm one would not have thought to found in the midst of a major tourist town. The main building, the inn, evoked a tru bed and breakfast feel with tasteful and timeless furnishings. We explored a bit and hope to have the opportunity to experience each room at some point! A lovely common area provided thoughtful gestures of homemade baked goods and courtesy drinks; it also served well as a quiet location to catch up on some office work. The complimentary breakfast was as well-planned and executed as the rest of our stay. We were allowed to choose our main courses, which surprisingly came delivered to our room as an option, and had unexpected accompaniments of fresh fruit, biscuits, and breakfast cake. I can't say enough about this charming inn. My husband and I do not like the general vibe of Gatlinburg and had to be there at that moment. Buckhorn Inn made a somewhat dreaded trip to the area quite the pleasant experience. We plan to return soon for another couples retreat.
