Appreciated that our room had hard floor and not carpet. However, cleanliness was a concern. There was shavings from the previous guest on the bathroom sink and towel that held toiletries. The front desk attendant did come and clean the area with disinfectant when requested. Oddly, there were no outlets within 10 feet of either bed, which was a problem for someone needing to use a cpap. Outdoor pool was nice, however the indoor pool was small and out of order as was the ice maker next to the lobby. Breakfast seemed above average for what is expected at a best western. We stayed in Cortez for proximity mesa verde which was convenient. Also, very close to Ziggis coffee which has good breakfast options including gluten free items.

We stayed at the Best Western Turquoise for several nights because of its convenient location for our travel plans. Our suite was clean and offered room to relax. The staff were friendly and helpful. If your plans take you to Cortez I recommend staying here.

Extremely nice place to stay. Smooth and easy check in with the staff. Room was very clean and had plenty of towels. Bedding was crisp and clean. Room was quiet. Breakfast was kept warm and offered everything we needed to head out.

I would not recommend booking at this hotel simply due to the staff. I called to make a reservation for the jetted tub king suite for Saturday and was informed by Eva that it comes with a pull out bed. After I told my husband I called back the next day and spoke with Stephanie. She proceeded to tell me that the kind suite does not come with a pull out bed which wouldn’t work for us since we have kids. So I looked at other places, called around and nothing suited our needs. So I called Stephanie back and asked to book the double queen. She informed me that she made a mistake and the king suite does come with a pull out bed after all. So we booked that on Tuesday. Friday our dog sitter had an emergency and we had to cancel our weekend plans. I called the hotel at 7pm on Friday night and explained the situation to Holly and asked to cancel our room. She told us that it’s not a problem she got the room cancelled and confirmed that there would be NO CHARGE AND NO FEE. Come Monday my card has been charged the full amount. I call the hotel right away and I get Stephanie on the phone. She tells me that I never called and that it was a no show and that there was no cancellation on their end. I then explain to her that I did call and cancel and was told that there would be no fee. She spoke to her manager Latricia and said she would call me back. After 10min she calls me back and tells me that the best she can do is give me half my money back and that it will take 3-5 business days to show up in my account. I’ve never had this problem before where a hotel takes your money after confirming there won’t even be a fee for canceling ahead of time. The lady who cancelled my reservation either didn’t inform me correctly or didn’t cancel my reservation. I got charged the full amount and the staff and manager Latricia didn’t seem to care. Now I’m on the phone with corporate trying to get ahold of someone because they are refusing to refund my money.

The hotel was centrally located in Cortez, across from the supermarket, near restaurants, and accessible to the highways at each end of town. The room was very nice, and staff were very friendly, thorough and accommodating, answering questions and with resolving our minor issues during our stay (e.g., keys stopped working).
