There is a lot of hospitality here, and as charming and comfortable and peaceful as this stay was, what I want to emphasize is the hospitality of the hosts. Fridge was re-stocked with good food, printed instructions on arrival clear. 5-stars

The room and the bathrooms are very clean! It truly beats any 5-star hotel that I have stayed in statewide and even internationally. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay! My husband and I felt very safe here!!!

The room was super cozy and clean. The location was great and I love that the hosts left a book with recommendations of where to go (restaurants, sightseeings, etc). I need to be honest, the breakfast items weren’t the best but they will do the job if you want something quick. The hotel was also very close to the mont rainier park! I will go back for sure

We had a small studio apartment Western Hemlock, in the annexe house. This was up some rather steep external stairs. There was a large comfortable bed, two easy chairs and a table with 4 stools as well as some basic kitchen facilities (ie only a microwave/kettle/toaster) with dishes etc provided. They provided the basic ingredients for a continental breakfast which was appreciated. There was good granola, milk, yoghourt and accompaniments. There were also bagels of which one was onion, a bit of a weird flavour for breakfast we thought but maybe only if you are British. The heating was good and the shower room was spacious with good hot water and toiletries. Good wifi is provided and there is a TV but we didn’t use it. There was a truckle bed which was made up even though we didn’t need it but oddly meant you couldn’t get into the wardrobe. Ashford is not the sort of place you can walk around. It is really a collection of spread out hospitality locations. So it’s necessary to drive to anywhere to eat or get groceries. In fact we ate on our way there and took food with us for the evenings as several places were already closed for the season. Mountain Meadows is one of the first places you get to entering Ashford, and it is a short drive to the National Park entrance. It’s in a wooded/lawned plot and would be nice to hang out on a sunny day, unfortunately it was wet while we were there. Our apartment was at the road end of the plot and we were surprised how much traffic there was on what is effectively a dead end at this time of year, from quite early in the morning. However it was quiet at night. There were no blinds on the door or the bathroom which was OK as it was dark in the mornings but I think it would be a nuisance in the summer having the light streaming in first thing.

I felt very lucky to book our 2 night stay at Mountain Medows Inn! It is the only lodging that I found that included breakfast! I booked the Cedar Suite which had a queen bed and a full bed! the unit had a refridgerator (stocked with milk, yogurt, bagel, Tillamook cheese & other goodies), microwave oven, toaster over, plates, glasses, utensils, coffee maker with great dark ground coffee and filters and a S'more machines with all the required ingredients! The Colemans (owners) sent us a welcome message throught Bookings.com with dierctions, code for our key, etc. They also sent us a "thank you" message on the day we checked out! Communication from them was fantastic! When we opened the door to the room (private entrance), soft rock music was playing from the TV! It was really nice to have a unit with lots of room and a table with 4 chairs that we used breakfast, mid-afternoon snack and a take-out dinner! The beds were comfortable and we liked the pillows! My wife and I both slept well! The location of this B&B was close Mt. Rainier NP and eating establishments in Ashford! I would highly recommend this B&B for anyone who is planning a trip to Mt. Rainier NP! Ray
