Modern and Well Maintained
The motel has all the standard Comfort Inn amenities, is well maintained, and the staff is conscientious. The rooms facing the pool are currently being updated. After spending one night is a not so nice hotel in Mariposa this motel was a god send.
Oakhurst is a nice 'town' with TWO large, name brand grocery stores. It also has lots of restaurant selections.

Just so so
The wi-fi was ok. The shower pressure was good. The breakfast was good, it had eggs, bacon, sausage with the usual fair (cereals, toast, fruit, yogurt, waffles.) The air conditioning was very loud. The rooms were dated, old and a little worn out. It felt fairly safe there. This place is close to Bass Lake and Yosemite. The beds were not so comfortable, they were kind of lumpy. The parking was good. It was easy to find. They are dog friendly and accept any size dog but they don't provide and treats or even a poop bag dispenser. There is some small grass areas in the inside courtyard area but the sprinklers were on each day and there was a ton of mud so my dog was not happy.

Convenient location to Yosemite
This was a clean, quiet; breakfast served, & nice staff. We stayed here for 3 nites, & had a good time. They had lot parking close to rooms. The price for time of year was very reasonable. It took 30 minutes to get to park entrance, but very easy ride.

Beds were great and the staff were very helpful.
We happened to arrive during the 2019 planned public safety power outage, and the receptionist pointed us to the few places in town where we could still get dinner. The next morning (breakfast was ok, given the circumstances), we asked if we could check out and get our second night refunded, so that we could move to a town with power. The receptionist that morning insisted on giving us a full refund instead.
In sum, the staff were extremely lenient and very helpful in making the best of a situation that, in the end, they had little control over. 10/10 would stay again when there's less risk of forest fires.

If you want to clean the toilet, this is a good place to stay.
The short review of our stay at this ridiculous hotel is that in order to stay there, we have to fix the toilet, you read it right “I have to fix our room toilet”.
We stayed there on the 2nd week of October 2019, and when we arrived after the long seven miles hike, we found the toilet is not working. When we contacted the front desk, we were given three options.
1. Wait till the morning.
2. Fix it by yourself.
I went to the front desk, and there was a very uncooperative Asian woman. Read my conversation below to find why I am calling her uncooperative.
Me: Can you please call the maintenance guy.
Front desk: He only work till five.
Me: Change my room
Front desk: We don’t have another room.
Me: Call the owner.
Front desk: We are not allowed to call the owner.
Me: Call the manager.
Front desk: He lives in the area where cell phone does not work, I can email him if you want.
Front desk: The best option is for you to take the plunger and fix it by yourself.
Since it was late and I was with kids, I took the plunger option. While she was giving me the plunger, she said.
“If that plunger don’t work, I cannot do anything for till morning”. Actually, she was telling me indirectly not bother her again.
Fortunately, the plunger worked. The next morning on our checkout I asked the same lady to give massage to your manager to call me, he never called. Few days later I called the hotel believing, she may have forgotten to give him the message. The manager was not there, and the operator transfers me to his voice mailbox, where I left the message. Two weeks passed, no one called. This tells me that this hotel management is not even unprofessional, irresponsible, and unorganized, they are also disrespectful to their guests.
I called their parent company “Choice Hotels”, after this, and guess what, instead of understanding the incident, the rep tried to pressurize me that you had the option to leave but you decided to stay. For three nights, he also made a generous offer of $20 for the stay during a busy time, which was also a weekend.
I will highly recommend to please stay somewhere else, even if you have to pay a little more. The management does not care about their guests and the guests will not get the respect they deserve.
