Cozy, away from town, but restaurant needed better service
We stayed 4 nights in early September (right before the main restaurant had to close for the season). Our cabin was clean and met our needs -- we wanted to be away from town and it met that perfectly. The food for dinner was delicious, but we did not have breakfast on any of our days because the restaurant wasn't ready with food! They were supposed to be open at 7 for breakfast, but breakfast wasn't really served until 8:30 or later. That made it difficult for those who had plans for early tours of Yellowstone and we were definitely not alone in arriving at the restaurant, then leaving.
Would I recommend them again? Yes, but with the note that you need to ask if they're going to have breakfast ready at the displayed times.

fine for one night
We got lucky and found this place a night before we needed it. They were having a Labor Day sale and got 25% off the rate. We got cabin 12 which has two bedroom and one bathroom. The bathroom has a jetted tube/shower. It could be an issue for elderly people to use as there is no grab bars and a large step over. We travel with one so my 84 year old father didn't have an issue. I also wouldn't want to use the jet tub as it didn't seem clean enough to use. For a shower it seemed ok. The beds were very comfortable. The cabin had a small refrigerator, microwave and a fire place. There is only an Apple TV but we had issues getting it to work. We used our computer to watch Netflix. We couldn't get the WiFi to work in our cabin and used our own hot spot to get WiFi. The rate included breakfast and it was a buffet. It was fine breakfast. They had this oatmeal huckleberry bake thing that was good and everyone in our group enjoyed that. The main lodge had a large great room and coffee/tea 24/7. The cabin also had a small deck and patio. On the patio there was a grill. We got to the place post 8pm and check out is at 10am so we didn't have a ton of time to enjoy anything. It was basically a place to rest. The pool and hot tub are open until 10pm. It also has a resort of canvas tents to use. I think they use the land and are a different company but difficult to say. The people using the tents to use the same breakfast buffet. Why only four stars? Our feet. They were black post walking about the cabin without shoes. Gross! I think they need to do a deep clean to the floors. Again it was a fine place to stay for one night and we were grateful to find it as it was Labor Day weekend. Total cost for one night in cabin 12 was $340. Which is more than I would want to pay on a normal day. That is with the discount. However, as I have said we were in a pinch. Staff was to the point but did give us a tour of our cabin. Staff in the morning was a bit more friendly but only kept the stations full of food vs. interact with the guest.

Rustic, cozy Montana gem!
My husband and I stayed for one night in the Main Lodge and we wished we would have booked more nights! We loved the balcony off our room along with the fantastic view. The bar and restaurant are in a separate building a short walk from the main lodge and the food was excellent. Get one of their box lunches for your day in the park, you won’t be disappointed! Don’t miss s’mores by the campfire in the evening! Everything about the Ranch is warm and inviting. The staff are all friendly and accommodating.

Stayed here for 2 nights over Labor Day weekend in a small cabin. Really nice, cosy and great spot. Bathroom, could be a little bigger and breakfast a little better but thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the great outdoor environment.

Amazing find, not far outside Yellowstone National Park
We were traveling cross-country and decided to overnight last minute just outside Yellowstone National Park. Many of the choices were highly priced but mediocre chains in West Yellowstone, but I stumbled upon this gem about 10 miles away. Best decision ever! The property was amazingly beautiful, amenities perfect, clean and designed well, and staff was warm and accommodating. They have varying degrees of glamping from tents to lodge rooms to full private cabins. We had a lot of fun chatting with Garrett (the front desk guy) by the fire pit, and great meals & cocktails at the Embers restaurant. They have a full bar, beer and wine. The cabin was beautifully designed, clean and romantic. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat for anyone who wants a place to stay near Yellowstone.
