Stunning place to stay with GREAT people
Bar-N-Ranch is located on the same property as Under Canvas - the main dining hall is shared. The difference is, Bar-N-Ranch offers traditional hotel rooms in the lodge or one of 8 or so small cabins. We stayed in a cabin. It was rustic but in good repair, and the beds were comfortable. There was a porch on the back with chairs and a shared lawn leading to a pond. The surroundings and location were SPECTACULAR with distant mountains in one direction and a bird-filled wetlands to the other direction. The lodge and the dining hall are both new construction, nicely built and quite cozy. Food at the dining hall was really quite good! There are many gluten free options. We would be very happy to stay here again. Do keep in mind it is about 10-15 minutes drive to the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Also, we had snow. In June. :-)

Totally totally overpriced, lacks any finesse, just not value for money!
We had cabin 8 supposedly the best one! Don’t go unless they upgrade the premises.
At ££££’s we were majorly disappointed with the standard of accommodation, truly a big let down. Old fashioned cabin, tatty broken furniture, curled up rugs and a yellowing bath tub/shower. Beds and towels aren't changed or made up each day, just the fire is reset.
We can live without Netflix and WiFi that didn’t bother us at all, but at this price it was a failing. No light pollution is nice.
Sara works in the restaurant alone and is the best kept secret about Bar N Ranch. She’s so friendly and welcoming and happy to share her knowledge of the park and walks, we were so glad we took her advice to hike Bunsen Peak.
Needless to say there’s no information provided in the rooms about where to go and what to do - another missed opportunity.
It seems to us that nobody is caring about this property and the service standards, it’s really lacking.
Our advice to the owners, strip out the tat, clean the rooms, update and add creature comforts. There’s no competition in West Yellowstone town so be the best not the worst!

Bar-N-Ranch is an amazing place that offers a serene atmosphere and excellent guest services! The food in the restaurant was awesome! The accommodations were cozy and inviting ... very clean and well appointed. Can't wait to get there for future visits. The staff was very attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Awesome place to stay when touring the area ... away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Stars galore!! The campfire and Smores offering was a great touch!!

After a week hiking in Yellowstone, this was a perfect ending. The staff couldn't be kinder. The building is adorable and the room large and comfy....with a fireplace in the main room and in your own room! Restaurant had wonderful food. Think it would be a great family stay. Lots of activities.

Good western feel
We stayed here on a Backroads trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We did horseback riding at the adjacent Diamond P Ranch and then went whitewater rafting with Montana Whitewater Rafting Coon the Gallitan River before heading into Yellowstone. The Bar-N-Ranch had an authentic western feel. The food was OK but not great. We stayed in one of the cabins, which was a 2-bedroom with a "jack and jill" bath. Accommodations were certainly not 4 or 5 star, but were clean and comfortable.
