This is truly the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had in Bar Harbor! Beautiful setting, great music and great drinks! Such a memorable night with friends. This is the most memorable place to sit outside and enjoy the weather. I will think of it with fond memories!

We stayed in king room 7 for 3 nights in June 2024. We previously stayed in room 5 (also king) last August. This location is perfect for us to be able to walk to dinner and we enjoyed the Ivy Manor so much last year, when we decided to plan another trip to Bar Harbor, we knew we wanted to stay here. I did lots of research last year and was torn between several places but since we liked this place the first time, it was great not having to research again. When I booked, I requested room 5 again if it was available. It wasn’t, but we got put in room 7 which was just as lovely. Our anniversary was occurring during our trip which I noted when making the reservation. When we got to our room, we were pleasantly surprised with flowers and champagne. So sweet! We enjoyed the breakfast each morning… not many choices but so convenient to have onsite. The giant blueberry muffins, fruit and coffee were good. We also enjoyed the music and drinks on the lawn each afternoon/evening.. a great place to rest after a day of hiking and activities. My husband already said he wants to return to Bar Harbor so we would love to stay here again… can’t get better than that.

We stayed in The Weymouth Suite and it was basically a mini-apartment. A large Bedroom with King Bed which opened up to a deck area to sit outside and enjoy. The kitchen with stove, oven, large refridge, and coffee maker is perfect for heating leftovers or cooking up a lunch or breakfast. A large dining area and a beautiful living room area with sofa, desk, chair, TV. The bathroom was huge with a walk in shower and a jacuzzi tub. I highly recommend Ivy Manor. And enjoy their outdoor bar with live music each afternoon and evening.

This cozy Maine Inn is located within walking distance of almost all the restaurants and shops you would ever want to visit in Bar Harbor. Guests park for free which I imagine can be a great advantage when it is busy. We visited at the end of the season so things were very quiet. I'm sure the front yard is a lot of fun when the live entertainment is offered. We stayed in a Queen room on the main floor of the Inn - there was a lounge area with a fireplace right outside our door and we really enjoyed sitting there since there wasn't much extra space in our room. They played muzak in the public areas of the Inn but the playlist was very limited so we heard the same songs over and over again. It would have been nice to have more variety. As already stated our room was small. It had a chair squeezed into a corner and a very small fridge. The washroom in our room was quite large but felt chilly because of the time of year. Thankfully, after we asked for the heat to be turned up, they provided us with a heater for the washroom. There was a fully accessible large shower with bench for people with mobility issues. I found it strange that the bed was so high - I can't imagine how someone with mobility issues could get into that bed! It was comfortable enough but challenging for a short person to get in and out. The breakfast was basic. My husband said the coffee wasn't very good. If breakfast is going to be provided, some effort should be made to offer decent coffee! The rest of the offerings were fine - lovely blueberry muffins, fresh fruit and yogurt.

The atmosphere is quaint and relaxed. Our room was spacious and very well cleaned. My husband and I loved having a fireplace in the room and took full advantage of it! We also sat outside by the firepit both nights of our stay and enjoyed the crisp fall air. While not a full breakfast offered in the morning there was quite a selection of goodies to start our day. Unfortunately many of the places in town were already closed for the season but it made for a nice, quiet stay. Given the traffic in the summer, the location is great making everything within walking distance. We didn't move our car once during our stay!!!
